I step from the stage, heart racing. I turn to face Grayson, a smile on my face. "Nice job, dude. We knocked em' dead!" I cry, embracing him in a huge hug. I pull back and we both laugh, heading back towards the trailer. I climb into the small, shaky trailer and drop my guitar down beside his bass and his drumsticks. I plop onto the couch and turn the TV on, Grayson plopping beside me. I wrap my paw around his shoulder and turn the TV on, tuning out the world. It's just Grayson, the TV, and me.

(Note; This band is still being developed, I'm not sure who else is in it. And Grayson and Utau are totally gay for each other xD)

Name Meaning:
Rohan did not remember who, precisely, named him. He knew only that when he approached Nemo's pack, a small red figure picking its careful way through the lingering December snow, he said his name was Rohan when Abrax called out for him to stop. He asked for sanctuary and they gave it, to this miniscule red creature with bright eyes and a smart mouth.

It was Nemo who later suggested that his name might have a meaning behind it, as theirs did, passed down to them by their mother in story. It took some time to divine; they had to consult Thyia, the strange girl who came and went as her heart desired, but she promised she would ask her old pack and the archivists they kept. When she visited the next time it was summer, and Rohan lay on the grass beside Serafin and let the sun warm his fur.

"It means red," Thyia announced as she crest the hill, laughter softening her voice. "I've heard it's Irish."

Rohan sat up, interested despite himself. "Red?" He repeated. "That's all?"

Thyia's smile turned mischievous. "Little red one," she said playfully, bending down to buffet her snout against his. "It's a petname, I guess."

"I like it," Serafin said, rousing enough to look over his shoulder at the kit he had begun considering a brother. He grinned at Rohan's groaned protest, flicked one ear and said, "You are very little, and very red. It suits you."

Rohan muttered, "It would have been cooler if it had meant fighter, or fierce, or something brave."

Thyia laughed. "Fierce Rohan," she said, nudging him, "Brave Rohan. Our little red babe."

Canicus, who had struggled to raise Serafin, who had often dismissed his son to anybody who promised to keep an eye on him, somehow ended up getting a second chance when Rohan ambled into their pack. He had not expected much of a change in the years it had been since Serafin's emergence from his egg; but Rohan was milder than his son and quieter, and there was something oddly mature about him. While he had a similar temperament to Serafin he could also be won to obedience, and he loved Canicus enough that he tolerated the male's constant fretting.

It was Serafin who eventually cemented Rohan's place in the family by tucking the kit under his wing. He showed Rohan the best places on the pack's land to rest and to hunt and to play; where the water was clearest and the birds fearless. He gladly gave Rohan his place at his father's side in his den; Serafin was older now, and the freedom granted to him by a younger sibling was refreshing. The three of them would spend pleasant afternoons together, Serafin's anger tempered by Rohan's laughter. Canicus could not help but feel immensely grateful to his children.
