:What is a Kirnniu?:

Kirus are very good climbers and live in trees. have both fur and feathers. fur can vary from hairless to like 1 foot long. Sometimes matting can be an extreme problem. their feathers are on the back of their head, their back, and sometimes their tail. they use their tails to show their emotion, communicate, and find their mates. although they can communicate with noises, most prefer to use their tails (unless tailless). Kiru have fins that can be folded up on the backs of their front legs. They have these fins because they are extremely good swimmers. They use these fins to help propel themselves in the water. while swimming, these creatures make graceful mini-o's with their front paws while also moving them up and down in a doggie paddle (no splashing). they move their tales in a sweeping motion while swimming and use them for better steering. they hardly have to move their back legs at all, as long as they keep their tail above water, they only occasionally kick. Their feathers and fur are waterproof if groomed at least every 24 hours. Kirus are herbivores AKA they eat bugs, plants, and vegetables.

Quirks: -Can't see too well and normally relies on
scent instead.
-Although they don't grant him flight, the fins on his
shoulders can be used as hands. Long, spidery hands
with very little reach, but beggars can't be choosers.
-Goes hungry sometimes cause he'd rather lay on the
floor than forage
-Can glide, but doesn't like to. He thinks it looks
stupid. It sure feels stupid.
-Very fond of fruit, but takes a million years to eat
it cause he's trying to savor that flavor
-Makes pathetic noises when he gets rained on :((
-Prefers to be awake at night rather than at day.
Granted, he doesn't like being awake at all, but...

Personality: -Something about him just feels tired.
He doesn't move fast, his voice sounds like somebody
who was just woken up, and he'll always close his
eyes and droop his head when something goes
wrong like he's refusing to process or deal with it
-Oddly responsible. Not exactly willing, per say,
but if everybody else shouts a 'not it', he'll sigh and
take one for the team
-A huge whiner. Most of the time he keeps it to
himself, but if he just so happens to be having an
especially sucky day and somebody's in earshot,
they're likely to get an earful of complaints. He's
always careful with his words, though, like whatever
he's talking about is going to hear him and get upset
