What are Khimaira Friesians?
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.

Pan snuffled a little as his mother nibbled at his tiny, fluffy forelock. "Mom, I'm tired." he mumbled, feebly moving his head away.

"Pan, it's time to get up. You get to into the paddock today, remember? Your first day outside!" His mom encouraged him, nudging his flank.

Pan bolted to his feet, almost smashing his tiny horns into his mother's face, "Paddock day!" He squealed excitedly, dashing around the stall ad a little tannish colored blur. "Let's go let's go let's go!" His mother smiled gently as one of their handlers appeared, tying a lead to her rope halter and leading her outside, Pan prancing along behind her. As they reached the edge of the barn, Pan froze, staring on wonder at the shimmering blanket of white powder that began abruptly on the other side of the door. A large swath had been cut through it ad the gate creaked open, and his mother's hoof prints were clearly visible, partially covering the comparatively diminutive foot prints of the man leading her. They had both paused, looking back at the small foal gazing in wonder at the new fallen snow.

"Come on Pan, it won't hurt you. It will be cold, you you'll get used to it." His mother assured him.

Pan looked up at his mother, then down at the snow. He then natively lowered his head to sniff it, snorting when some of the light flakes went up his nose. He placed one foot into the flawless white and a shock went through him. This was his element. This was where he belonged. He bolted out of the barn, frolicking and kicking up his heels in the excitement of his completion. His mother smiled softly after him, content in his jubilee.

Explanation: I imagine him being one of those odd ones out when it comes to snow, He neither hates it nor adores it, and has been pretty unimpressed since his discovery of it. His first experience with snow: It was so long ago now, he can barely recall his escapade through the snow-coated land of his familiar home; except for the fact that everyone who was there that day has reminded him of it every day since. Outsiders would take one glance at this glacial haven and call it inhospitable; unwelcoming, but ever since the day he was born, Boreas has adored his frigid dwelling. The moment his eyes opened he was captivated by the wondrous sight that was presented to him: the horizon stretched on; an endless blue, ice bleeding into ocean blending into a powdery sky. The air was chilly, biting against his damp bay coat, but if Boreas noticed it at all he never let on. Warm, kind hands helped him to his feet as the gentle and doting gaze of a new mother followed her colt's every motion. There were so many faces, so many scents, but all this animated creature wanted was to dive head first into this new existence; and so he did. Pulling away from the humans who would guide him to warmth, Boreas shot forward with an unshakeable resolve, adamant and proud as he made to flee into the distance of this already ever-surprising world he had found himself in, however he got not one yard before tripping over long, clumsy legs and falling head first into the fresh, freezing snow. Finding himself effectively stuck with his soft velvet nose buried deep below the chilly surface, all Boreas could do was wait for his fast-approaching rescuers. Those same kind hands pulled him from the snow and rubbed feeling back into his fragile body, and the colt was thankful until he turned to find himself gazing back at his new herd, dozens of giggling faces who were sure to never let him live down what he had done.
