Where do they live?;;
The wild forests of Ancient China.
Having woken in a wild land of trees and rock faces, Xiǎo Mógū stuck to what he found to be safe. He hid amongst the rocks and blended into the forest floor with coats of leaves and mud. Learning to adapt to his new home, Xiǎo Mógū learned to use his horn to catch fish from the streams to eat. After discovering that the oily fish was needed in his diet, he quickly learned how to preserve them, as well as what plant life was eatable. The Hubei provence proved to be the magical place Xiǎo Mógū needed to reside, but he longed company. For many months, he remained alone and became very saddened.
One day while scavenging for more preserves, Xiǎo Mógū came across a creature to be around the same size, but with a much brighter coat colour. Xiǎo Mógū hide in the rocks, but it was too late, the deep green eyes locked onto his and sprung forward. It was Xiǎo Mógū's horn that saved him, embedding itself into the creature's thigh. It gave a great cry and tried to limp away. Feeling a sense of pride and courage, Xiǎo Mógū stepped out and readied to charge again. Lifting his head up to face his opponent, a sudden wave of great sadness and joy came through him. His eyes locked with a new pair, golden like the sun and kind, so kind. Xiǎo Mógū dropped to the ground and started to cry, a heart-breaking cry for his lost mother. Xuě Yún came to his side and gently rested her head on his.
"It's ok my child, you're going to be just fine."
Knowing very well that she could never replace the young Serpent's mother, she would try her best. It was not in her nature to abandon one of her own, especially considering he was the only other she had found in her journeys across the great land.
Xū scoffed at the new arrangement, he didn't approve of something that tried to kill him tagging along. Xuě Yún had warned him that if he didn't protect the child like one of his own she would feed him to the sky gods, knowing the cat hated heights. A few days after the confrontation in the mountains, the trio descended to a nicer elevation, and settled there. Xiǎo Mógū still did not trust the cat, and Xū avoided the young Serpent like Typhoid fever. Xuě Yún was the only one that tried to bring the uncanny group together in harmony, even though herself and Xū still fought like an old married couple.
