Writing: It was the day of a birthday parade. The mayor's son's 16th birthday happened to be the day of the birthday parade, which wasn't much of a surprise. And Zucker knew, today was going to be so fun! "Zucker, come on, you're going to be late for the parade." His dad called, picking up his keys as he padded towards the door. "Coming, dad." Zucker trotted out of his room, his chin and tail held high. "Look at you, all fluffy and proud! Come on." He nudged the door aside and padded out with Zucker at his heels.

Confetti swirled down from the sky in a graceful swerving motion, landing on and in Zucker's fur. He shook his pelt, sending confetti everywhere. He could hear the voices of the citizens, yelling cheers and chants. He stood atop the highest step of six, beaming happily. Suddenly, cold liquid was flung onto his fur. It came from one side, then another. Soon, both. He looked down as citizens flung blue paint, all the same color. It made small blue spots, covering every inch of his fur. He purred happily, fluffing out his fur and holding his chin higher then before so he could get the spots wherever he could. A lot of the citizens had spots on them, indicating they'd grown up. His blue spots made him proud, and he'd never wash them off.
