What's going on?:
Missy yawned, arching her back in a sideways S shape. She shook out her fur, purring a bit at the pretty jingling that came from her collar. Missy loved her collar. Missy loved her human. They were so nice, and gave them good food and rubs and let her go outside whenever she wanted, like now. Missy cocked her head at the sky, staring up at the grey clouds. It was going to pour soon, but for now there was only a light drizzle. Missy, albeit reluctantly, stood up. She had better get home.
The rain got heavier, dripping down into Missy's eyes. She blinked and shook her head as she walked up to the road. Her human had always warned her about roads. To be careful. To look both ways. In all honesty, she was probably joking. Who talks to cats? Missy shook her head, stifling a trill as she began to trot across the pavement. She slowed to a stop. Was it... brighter? She was suddenly aware of a bright light to her left. She stared at it, frozen in some kind of shock. A loud sound snapped her out of it. She wasn't sure what happened next, but all she knew is that she panicked. She wasn't safe, she had to leave. She had to get back to her human. She had to get back to her human. She had to.
There was a dull thud, then everything went silent, and still. Missy was confused. What had happened? She couldn't move. Where was she? Where was her human? Her mind was muddled, there were so many questions, so many whats, and wheres, and whys.
A single thought blared in her mind.
"I'm not ready!" She cried out, although no one was around to hear. "I don't wanna leave them! I'm not ready... I...!" She trailed off. She didn't want to leave her human. Not without telling her. She'd be so worried, so sad...
"Hello?"
Missy froze. She was suddenly aware of how hard it was to breathe. The dull pain enveloping her whole body. Everything was dark and fuzzy, but she could clearly see a silhouette coming towards her.
"Hello? What was that you said again?"
"I... i dont want to... go... my... my human... they..." Missy's voice was stolen by a coughing fit, as she curled up in herself.
The shilouette smiled, placing a paw on Missy's chest. She stopped coughing, staring up at the stranger in a strange mix of fear and curiosity. She was suddenly tired, and frustrated? What did this person want. Why didn't they go away? Or just take them to her human. Missy narrowed her eyes.
"You know... I didn't want to go either. I had someone I loved very much," They paused and frowned. "I was sad, and... and scared... I didn't want to leave. I didn't want to go. But I had to."
Missy suddenly felt bad. "Im sorr-
"But you... you dont have to!" They looked so happy, so excited. "You can be better than me. You can be happy!"
"Really?" Missy's eyes widened into dinner plates, her mouth dropped open ever so slightly. She could keep going. She could see her human again...!
The stranger nodded. "Yes."
"All you have to do, is do a little favor for me."
