He's getting up there in years and has quite a bad sway back, so he'll be more of a pasture pet and companion than a riding horse. But surely someone would like to give a friendly old man a forever home?

Old Topper used to be the kind of stallion who would act like a sophisticated and gentle horse one second but then the next he would buck his rider madly off. He is very stubborn and will not be pushed past his limit, he can also be very ignorant when his rider attempts to teach him something new. Old Topper used to be energetic and bouncy, always full of energy. At least, that was before he was sold and grew old. Old Topper used to be called Calamity. His careless and destructive ways lived up to the name with no effort. Old Topper these days is lazy and often refuses to leave his stable box due to how tired he was. His owner asked the vet to look at the gelding and they discovered he had terrible arthritis. Old Topper was a carriage horse who often pulled carts full with hay to the markets. Shortly after the vet had diagnosed Old Topper, his owner decided to retire him. A few months later, always tired, sore and lazy Topper, was sent to the auctions to be sold.

personality: Pops is cantankerous old fellow. Don't let his age fool you, he's still got a fiery spirit. He's aged like a fine wine that has a bit of a kick that never truly goes away. An old cattle horse, he's more than happy to chase after a few cows at a relaxed jog. So what if they're the neighbors cows that he's chasing along his fenceline, it still works for him. Rainy days make him irritable because of his joints, he becomes a real grump and will show his displeasure at the weather by snorting whenever he feels a fleck of rain splash his muzzle or anywhere else.

Poker Joe : Another old man around Tipping Ranch and it turns out to be an old rival of Pop's from his younger years. Poker Joe was an upcoming talent when Pops was making his last rounds in the show ring as a cutting horse. Not much remains of the old competitive rivalry, in fact, Poker Joe and Pops get along better than most of the other horses do.
Autumn Leaves : Autumn was the first horse to officially call this spritely old man, Pops. Boy does that get his goat, Pops doesn't much mind being called Pops but Autumn has gotten pretty much everyone else to join in with that nickname. Autumn reminds him of an old flame from his younger years, she was a hot head but other than that the personality is the same. Time with Autumn brings about a nostalgic feel to everything.
Xerestrasza : Xere is so much like one of Pops' daughters that he sometimes forget that she's not his little girl, Minx. Sometimes she has to remind him as well. Though Xere and Pops find time to talk about Pops old life, he talks with her the most about how he has no idea if he is a grandpa or if the name, Pops even applies to him yet.
Bear : Bear and Pops are true rivals. Something in Bear brings out the frisky part of Pop's personality, trash talking and a bit of scuffling between the two is a daily occurence. Soon followed by side by side grazing, and minor trash talking about how the other is going to get the upper hand. Brothers. Or as much as brothers could be from different bloodlines. (Trash talking typically entails not very hurtful arguments. "You smell like grain, fermenting in a water trough.")

personality: Złoto is a very laid back and friendly gelding. He loves telling stories of his past owners and all the horses he met in the past. He's very sociable for an older boy, but he needs his personal space. He's very respectful and patient, especially with young foals, which makes him a great teacher.
friends: Złoto has befriended a little barn cat and one of the barn dogs. Because Złoto is getting older, he prefers to lay down and relax in the sun. Eventually, Viva the barn cat got curious and inspected Złoto, learning that his soft coat was comfortable and Złoto didn't mind her laying on him. They relax in the sun together during the afternoon until the sun goes down. But in the morning, Złoto loves to play with a German Shepherd dog named Shade. Złoto tossed Shade's ball, and shade fetches and brings it back. They also never leave each other's sides when Rose takes Złoto along in trail rides, so he could still adventure in his old age without being ridden.
