The Traveler is a Rythulian, much the same as the cloaked figures and companions found with a traverler.they need a companion to survive and will be with that companion for life though thats not necessarily their mate.they breed can with a other traveler as many time as they like because they have no gender. they will alway love their companion and will die for them
