Feather tails are a species similar to a fox, with feathers for tails and feathers behind their ears. Feather tails live in the forest of Penketh, in small groups called packs. These packs can be anywhere from 2 to 20 FT's, mostly related, but doesn't have to be. In the wild, Ft's mate for life, and can only breed with their mate. Baby Ft's are called quills. They receive their Jars when they are a week of age, and the color seems to choose them. No one quite knows where these orbs come from, only that they are filled with the life force of the individual and must therefore be protected.

backstory: Kallioinen was left at the side of a creek when she was just a youngling. a fox found her while getting a drink. Luckily for Kallionien she fox was about to have pups its self,and took her in. Taking her after the muddy creek she was found by. As Kalli grew,she learned that she was indeed different from foxes,first off,her tail was way different,made of feathers instead of bone flesh and fur,the way she hunted was different,and the fact that she had to wear a jar around her neck to keep her alive was very different. Even though she was different from her adopted family,they still accepted her,no problems or anything. Once Kalli was older,she left her family,in search of her birth pack. She eventually formed her own pack,but she does not yet have a mate
