Personality
Faythe is a very strong willed horse. She is hot headed, powerful and quick witted. She is a natural leader and a character who is generally respected. Although she is hard to handle, Faythe is not a rude horse. This mare is very intelligent and you can just see it in her eyes. Coming from a rich stud farm, she was well brought up, pleasant to ride and trained well by top instructors. But first, if you want to ride this stunning mare, you'd have to earn her trust. Due to so many abusing her status and treating her like some house pet, she doesn't trust easily. Faythe is a mare to be taken seriously. You will never be the boss of this mare and you will never be able to be the boss of this mare. She simply won't allow it! You can only work with her - riding and handling -. Other than that, she's is a very friendly horse. She loves her herd members and even managed to win over the lead mare who stepped down for Faythe to take power of the herd. Even though the herd has split up, she still is in charge of every horse on my yard. Faythe makes friends very quickly with the others and it's very hard to hate her. Faythe is an excellent competition mount. She excels in every aspect as she is bold, flashy and a great partner. If you make a mistake she can correct it. The judges can't help but fall in love with her because of her mesmerising presence that simply screams that she is something special.
History
The night Faythe was born was a cool summers night in a well known stud farm in England, rumoured to have some of the best non-icelandic tolters. She was practically born with a silver spoon in her mouth and was treated like a princess from day one. Her mother was a flashy but sensible mare and didn't let Faythe grow into a bratty mare but brought her up well to respect her handlers. As time passed, Fayhte grew into a stunning mare. People came from around the world to watch her tolt and to see her beautiful coat. Shortly after she was broken, a handsome sum of money was offered for the young mare. A sum so large, the stud farm couldn't refuse. Although they didn't want to sell her, they knew the money would be better for the farm. Faythe's new owner was a rich American business man who had a daughter who had taken interest in horses merely a week before. The businessman's daughter was a spoiled 11 year old who demanded a pony from her father before she could even ride. The businessman felt compelled to buy his daughter the best pony money could buy. Two days prior to the offer of Faythe, one of the businessman's employees had caught wind of a stunning mare in the United Kingdom and told him and he was prepared to pay a lot of money for it. To him, money was no object. Faythe arrived in America three weeks later.
When the businessman's daughter first met the young mare, she was confused to why she had such a strange coat. The businessman was not happy. He didn't pay all that money for a pony looking like that! The girl demanded tack to be put on the four year old. Fancy, but ill fitting tack was badly put on her. The bit was too harsh, her noseband restricted her breaking, the throatlatch was too loose. The saddle rubbed and pinched and the girth wasn't even in the right place. Faythe braved through it. Then the girl - with no horse or riding knowledge - was put onto the pony's back and instantly started to flap her reins. The green mare didn't understand and was scared. She'd never been asked to do something like this and she was hundreds of miles away from home. Faythe reared up. She had had enough of this child kicking and screaming at her. Te child promptly hit the floor. Faythe stood still and pawed the ground, shocked at her own strength. The girl burst into tears and she was whisked away into a dark cramped stable with dirty water, no bedding or food. Her condition deteriorated. After a week of no contact, the businessman had finally managed to find a new owner for the mare and once again she was taken to a new home. Feeling a lot braver with herself, she now knew she could get results if needed. Her mother had always taught her to be patient with her riders. A slight sensation of unease writhed inside her.
As she was unloaded from the wagon, she was let out into a lush green field. Her new owner was a young woman with a kind face. Faythe thought that this was to be her forever home. She felt like she could trust her and finally she would be used properly. Over the next few months Faythe trusted the woman and she enjoyed her home but she was getting treated like a pet. She'd never be ridden, she'd be fussed over like a dog and eventually it got annoying. Soon Faythe after being in the woman's care for a year became bored. She went off her feed, her eyes looked dull and she didn't get excited over anything. The woman brought a vet out and the vet just told her that she'd been killing the mare with kindness and it was an idea to get her working again or sell her on. The woman felt bad but she was too scared to ride Faythe so she decided to find the five year old a new home. Before the mare and the woman parted ways, the woman plaited roses grown in her garden in her tail thus the tradition of Faythe wearing roses in her tail came to be.
Faythe's final home is now The Twilight Circus where she has new things to do everyday, other horses to interact with and gets ridden properly for the first time since being at the stud. All the other horses at TCEQ love Faythe and look up to her as a horse as she faced both scales of neglect from undernourishment to getting ruined in a field, she had really seen it all.
As the rose is a symbol of devotion, she connects to everyone of her herd mates but is yet to find her own mate.
