pet peeve - Clyde's biggest pet peeve is people being bad drivers [specifically not using their indicators when turning]. Clyde believes everyone, absolutely everyone should have perfect driving habits, or at least above 'average'.
It sounds rather silly, considering Clyde lives in Britain where there's so much traffic actual driving seems to never happen, but for him? This is essential- he argues that without his pet peeve, life and society would cease to function. [So obviously, Clyde finds it okay to rant about how terrible it is when he sees someone not using their blinker or just driving in an overall poor fashion.] His pet peeve is so important to him that he happily hands out lectures at will about taking driving lessons and courses, and should people 'stop using their blinkers' Clyde believes the world would just simply end. He thinks nothing less.
