Welcome to Animal Ark!
Animal Ark is an animal shelter. We rescue animals of all species, from dogs and cats to horses and rats, and rehabilitate and care for them until they are ready to find a new home. Some of the animals here were given up because their previous owners could no longer care for them, others were abandoned or found roaming all alone. Some were seized due to neglect. And some... are a bit unusual, not your typical moggy or mutt. But regardless of how they ended up here, they are all in need of a fresh new start. Can you help?

"This young blind boy was brought in by his previous owners, who claimed that they bought him from a pet shop as a puppy because they felt sorry for him, but due to his disability they've found it hard to cope, especially since adding a baby to the family. Despite all this, he's a very sweet albeit shy pup. We're not sure about his breed but we believe he may be mostly akita."

Personality: Tadashi is shy, but once he warms up to you he is a real cuddle bug. He is more curious than most pups his age, but not in a scared way. He likes to spend time sitting in front of the fireplace, playing with his favorite toy, or outside in the yard (Usually digging holes). He also likes to hang out around the barn, he seems to think he is a border collie and likes to try to herd the calves around. Only one of the calves actually lets him do it and they are good friends.

Extra: I look across the landscape, the bright green grass waving in the wind. The leaves on the trees rustle, swaying to a silent tune. The golden leaves still on the trees one by one drop from their branches and flutter to the ground. I trot into the woods, nose held high.

I trip on a stick, falling down a steep drop-off. When I look up, a tree is immersed in flames. I stand, mesmerized by the beauty of the flames, hungrily eating away the tree's bark. I snap back to reality and try to run, but the drop-off is to steep to run back up. The flames are spreading, quickly. I turn around me and I'm surrounded. The flames are closing in. I back up, feeling the heat from the fire behind me. A searing pain goes through my tail and I whip around, catching a glimpse of singed fur. I take a deep breath and plunge into the wall of flames, ignoring the pain as I break through the other side. I run, as fast as I can. I can't see or hear, but I have to keep moving.

I break out of the woods, able to hear once more, but I still can't see. I wave my paw in front of my face, but there's nothing, not even a silhouette. Am I blind forever?

This is how he gets blind ~

I am nursing my mother, my siblings are all around me. I feel safe and warm here, and i hope it never ends, but that is about to change. Someone latches me off of my mother and strokes me. I growl and try to squirm away, but its no use. They bring me out into a bright space, so very bright i open my eyes before im supposed too. I try to block out the light but it doesn't work. When they get in the monster i am relieved. Something starts and we move. This goes on for a very long time before we arrive somewhere. I blink as i look around. The person picks me up and brings me in their home. I pad around the house, sniffing everything i see. I hear heavy steps and i look around. A small person is coming towards me. Before i can run the person snatches me up and brings me into a tight space. The person keeps touching my eyes and poking them with anything she can find. Im screaming in pain as this happens. By the end of it i cant see a thing and my eyes are swollen, red, and puffy. Thats when i was brought back to the shelter and adopted again. I was loved there, but then they had that... creature. Then they never payed attention to me again. One day they picked me up... and brought me to a place. Then i was left there, whining as they drove away. For the rest of the day im just laying there. But i come to love my handlers and now im ready to be adopted out again! I wonder who will adopt me. A person approaches my cage, pointing at me. They let me out and i jump into her arms. She says "May i adopt him?" the handler says....
