His reaction to being separated from his sister: The Night Came, Ever So Slowly, As If Time Was Slower Tonight, The Stables Were Calm, And In Complete Silence. I Was Laying Down, That Late Night, Next To Her, I Don't Know Why But I Remember Having That Bad Feeling, Like Something Was Wrong. Knowing She Was Asleep, I Stood Up And Looked Around, Nothing, Nothing Was There No One Was There As Well. All The Others Were Sound Asleep, Or Out In The Pastures For This Summer Night, I Reared Up, Leaning Up Against The Door, And Looked Down The Aisles A Bit Better Site. There Was This Man, Walking Down With My Owner, This Man Was Tall With Long Dark Brown Hair Or Was It Black?.. I Don't Remember Clearly What I Saw At First. But, The Man Was In A Hoodie, Jeans, And Boots, With A Cowboy Hat, He Was Smiling From What I Believe. They Grew Closer And Closer, I Got Down And Laid Down Quickly Next To My Sister, To Act Asleep, I Heard Them Stop And Start Talking, To This Day I Didn't Understand What They Were Saying. But, Then I Understood Some, The Man With Long Hair Leaned Over The Stall Slightly, I Lifted My Head, To See Him Smiling Slightly, I Gulped Slightly And Moved Closer To My Sister. The Next Thing I know Is That My Owner Picked Me Up, And Gently Put On This Large Blue Blanket, And A Random Rope Halter. That's When I Finally Realized, I Was Being Taken Away! I Started To Freak Out And Call For My Sister, She Finally Woke Up To The Me Being Pulled Away. She Started To Freak Out, I Was Able To Pull Away, And Run Back To Her, We Nuzzled Our Heads Together, I Remember she Whispered Some Thing, That Will Always Be Clear;

"Be Strong For Me, My Dear Brother, I Love You So Much, We'll Meet Again Soon"

Then I Was Taken, I Kept Crying For Her, And To Return Back To That Stall, But No, I Was Taken To This Small Mare And Foal Trailer. I Was Gently Put Inside, The Man With Lomg Hair Took Off The Large Blue Blanket And Put On This New My Size Blanket, It Was The Same Color As Tge Old One, I Looked Around To See An Adult Horse. It Was A Brown Pearl Mare, Who Looked Down Upon Me With Curious And Loving Eyes. I Smiled Slightly.

And From That Say, I've Always Known That Brown Pearl Mare As My Step-Dam. (She's My First Tolter, Named; Cloudy Skies)
Expand on his personality: Rex Has Been The Clingy Type, Thanks To His Sister, He Was Able To Slowly Learn How To Gain His Bravery And Courage. Which Really Helped Him, He Wasn't Much Of A Horse To Show Off, But When He Did. Oh God, Was He Good At It. Which, May Or May Not Be A Bad Thing. He's Also A Loud Guy, He Enjoys Neing Loud At Times, Since He Was Crying When He Was Taken. Also, Because Of Night Mares.
Halter Color: Storm Cloud Grey

b]Expand on his personality:[/b] Jet'aime is anything but outgoing, he tries to not let his shyness sway his descions but every once in awhile it does. He has an encourgaging sister, she always stand behind him. Jet'aime loves to explore, and try new things, but meeting new horses is hard for him. He feels unsafe around anyone except his family. Which makes it hard on everyone, including his human caretakers. Sometimes Jet'aime can get so scared that he injures himself, he spooked at a pelican and stumbled, injuring his left hock. Luckily this was able to be corrected by outstanding veterinarians, or he could have been crippled.
Jet'aime is a busybody! He always has to be moving, this really helps his anxiety and encourages him to be more outgoing.

Image

His reaction to being separated from his sister: Jet'aime tends to get very frightened when he cannot see his sister. He feels as if she is his comfort, since she is older and seems to be stronger as well. Jet'aime can get easily frightened, but he does have a brave side to him. He has enough heart to get him going, but his sister keeps pushing him along. His sister is strong, playful, and everything he ever dreamed to be. Jet'aime's sister is always there for him, and he is forever thankful for that.

Name: Birds Of A Feather || Goose
Gender: Colt - Stallion
His reaction to being separated from his sister:
I've honestly never heard a more pitiful sound than his cries. Separating him from his sister tore my heart apart, and seeing him mope around for days after killed me. It was hard for all of us, listening to him whinny sadly, and simply turn away when a bottle was offered to him. He blamed us, blamed every human here at the Vineyard for the loss of his sister, and wanted nothing to do with anyone. For a while, it seemed he wouldn't move. For days, I swear, it seemed like the back corner of his stall had become his one and only resting place, and god, we were hoping it wouldn't end up his final resting place. He wouldn't eat, and when he slept, he cried. He was having nightmares, or dreams about his sister, but we all knew the separation was killing him inside.

We needed to figure something out, and fast, if we wanted this boy to live on and become a healthy young stallion. Thankfully, one of our broodmares was able to intervene before anything worse occurred. Butterscotch is one of the most gentle mares residing here, and when her instincts kicked in, she took to caring for this little colt. She was able to encourage him to stand and suckle, and has been keeping a watchful eye over him, as if he were her own. Anytime he begins to panic or fall back into the cycle of sadness, she comes to his rescue, and grooms him gently, as if to say, "Everything will be alright."
Expand on his personality:
Since being separated from his sister, we've become aware of just how dependent Goose really is. It doesn't take much for him to form an attachment, but it seems he may suffer from some underlying trust issues come the future. If anything, it seems that Goose is a rather anxious little colt, who would prefer the comfort of his cozy stall rather than explore the outer world. It seems as though his sister was his livelier half, and without her, he's lost.

Meeting Butterscotch was probably the best thing to happen to him, though. Ever since she "adopted" him, Goose has slowly become more lively and willing to explore. Albeit, he's a cautious, timid little thing, but with the pintaloosa mare at his side, it seems he has nothing to fear. She nudges him on, encourages him to explore, but she doesn't move to abandon him, knowing he'd flip out if she did so. This mare has become his security blanket, the thing he feels most comfortable with. As we all know, geese travel in flocks, and two birds of a feather, stick together.

While he may not see his sister in the future, it's nice to know that he's found a surrogate mother, someone who will care for him and accept him as he is. Patience is key with this colt, and hopefully we'll begin to see more progress as time goes on.

Her reaction to being separated from her sister:

Biscuit is scared by all the moving and she is very distressed at being separated from her precious sister. She's extremely tentative to meet new horses since before now she'd only ever been around one other horse long enough for them to get to know her, and that was, of course, her sister. Her sister was her rock. The one who knew exactly what she was comfortable with and the one who would always stand by her. It is blatantly clear that Biscuit misses her sister terribly, but we hope for them to meet up soon, once she too is placed in a new loving home.

Expand on her personality:

Clingy describes Biscuit pretty well actually, but its not all that she is. She is a very affectionate darling girl when you get close to her. She is at the moment quite nervous and fearful. Even when she was with her sister she was always second to try anything, tending to hold back before exploring anything new. She has a bit of a conflicting personality because she is quite the introvert, yet she sometimes hates being alone. She loves to spend time alone inside contemplating the new world she is slowly discovering, rather than going out to adventure in it like most foals. However when she is out in the spring sunshine she can't stand to be on her own. It's not that she feels lonely or bored, but more that she gets very anxious and the big bad world seems very terrifying through her crystal blue eyes when there's noone there to reassure her. On arrival at her new home she was very jittery and clung desperately to the handlers, whining and reluctant to be left alone. However everything changed when she was introduced to Spud. Spud is a tender-hearted, gentle and equally tentative baby tolter. He was left floundering when separated from his mum and has been taken under Liljá's wing. With a little help from everyone at New Wave including Lil's mate Romeo and our other mare Sienna, Biscuit was settled into a new life with her adopted brother and mum. From the instant they met Spud and Biscuit have been amazingly close, almost inseparable, sleeping together, eating together and even taking new steps together in the nursery paddock (though their combined courage is still less than half of a normal foal!). With newfound security in her somewhat unconventional adopted family, Biscuit's real character is starting to shine through. She is a very perceptive foal, sensitive to others' needs and always putting others before herself. Initially she tried to just stay out of the way and cause no trouble to her new surrogate mother, but Liljá picked up on this and did her best to get her involved, reassuring her and trying to get her to relax. Over time Biscuit has become more comfortable with Lil though it is still a work in progress, now she isn't afraid to ask at least some of the many questions that trouble her curious and sharp mind. In fact some of them baffle even intelligent Einstein. With Spud her trust came more quickly, as he seems to understand her perfectly, and most obviously he is only a few inches taller than her! They seem to know what each other is thinking, and what they are going to do before they even know themselves.

his reaction to being separated from his sister: the small colt peered out the stall door as if waiting, where is she? he thought she should be back by now.... he couldn't help but worry, she always came back he had thought nothing of her good bye. now, perhaps he should have. she wouldn't leave me he thought to himself turning his attention to the stall. only to feel a pang of panic at the emptiness, the feeling of being alone. he neighed loudly trying to get the attention of her, wherever she could be.
expand on his personality: side kick. intelligent. awkward. dependent. creative thinker.
uri is your stereotypical side-kick, he's smart, dependent and seems to be the conscience of the leaders he serves under.

uri is terribly scared of things out of his control. for example he's terrified of water because he might drown and thunderstorms because he may be struck by lighting.

Name:
Glow of a thousand fireflies // Helios
Gender:
Stallion
His reaction to being separated from his sister:
He really dislikes it. His sister was there since he was born and as far as he could remember, she was the one who made him smile the most. He loves her so dearly but being seperated really made him go berserk. He has never went a full day without at least seeing his dear sister and here he is, seperated from her. Helios is currently going through what other people would call a phase. He's still trying to get over the fact that he has been seperated and is trying to get used to it.
Expand on his personality:
Possessive
Helios is very possessive of his closed possessions and his sister. Even though he is the younger of the two, he is surprisingly the more matured one. Everytime other foals get to close, regardless of gender, he would try to squeeze himself in the middle or try to get her away to be with him. His sister notices it but she would always promise and reassure him that nothing would happen, though he wouldn't believe her.
Sensitive
He is very sensitive when it comes to sensing feelings of his sister. Whenever she is happy or sad, he knows it. Even if she puts on a mask, he can still see through and will eventually find out what's bugging her.
Analytical
Helios very much prefers to sit and observe before accessing a situation rather than jumping head first. Sure he's a curious foal and would love to find out more but he would always think it through carefully before a final decision. This is something about him that is well-liked among the other foals, family and other horses because it is quite a special trait for a stallion as young as him to be thinking so clearly and accurate over situations, something that not even all adult horses can do.
