|| An Expanded Look ||
Viri is a spitfire of a little filly. She loves her brother and doesn't really trust people the best after they were abandoned. She might not have fully understood the event but she knew enough to feel the fear, plus uncertainty of her and her brother huddling together in that strange place. She has some fear towards women in particular so it is suspected that maybe something happened either when they were left or before that which has prompted her fear. There is hope that she can still grow out of it though, especially for her being so young to begin the conditioning process to make her accustomed to females. Around Phoenix in particular she likes to drop her tough filly act and is quick to lean in for a cuddle or ear scratch. There have been plenty of instances in finding him passed out in the field with her plopped down practically on top of him. She loves the many dogs that are seen running around the stables and is quick to tear off after them, charging bucking and squealing happily at the fluffy creatures. She is really feisty around most people, balking and fighting every time she gets the chance. The only times you can find her well behaved is if her adoptive mother, Beira, is watching, or if she sees Phoenix. Much to Phoenix' joy the foal seems to have a certain dislike for Tara in particular and it is the talk of the stable how the little thing has on multiple occasions, bitten or stomped on Phoenix' favourite person.

First meeting with your handlers:
We get the call about a foal for adoption in the area, drive out and expect this to be an easy pick-up, but boy were we wrong! I can't even begin to tell you how difficult it was loading this girl up in the trailer. Yeah she's still a baby and all, but she puts up a good fight! Coaxing her and attempting to gain her trust was difficult at first, maybe it was all of the new people, or maybe it was the big clunky trailer, but she wanted nothing of it. She reared and squealed and tugged at her lead rope until she tuckered herself out, at which point she simply dug her heels into the ground and refused to budge. Stubborn little thing.

However, our handlers are very good with handling Tolters of varying personalities, and have more than enough patience to deal with a frightened little filly. I mean, why wouldn't she be afraid of us? She'd been dumped here on this farm with her sibling, with nowhere to run and no mother figure to protect her. Assuming another human being had done this to her (and that she wasn't a run away foal) would very likely have traumatized this foal and seriously crushed her trust in humans entirely.

Thankfully, after nearly forty-five minutes of fighting with her, we were able to gently reel her in, no longer fighting her, but simply attempting to encourage her into moving. And she did. Her first few steps towards us were hesitant, and her nostrils flared, eyes wide, full body tense in preparation to bolt if anyone made a move. Instead, we used soft voices and gently encouraged the filly to continue forward, until she was on the ramp of the trailer. It didn't take much longer before she was loaded in safely, and driven to her new home here at the Vineyard. I do believe she's making progress with us as we spend more time with her, she's definitely coming out of her shell and her personality is really unfolding. This girl is quite the catch, let me tell you.
Expand on her personality:
After our initial meeting with this gal, we were certain she'd be a feisty young thing. Once we got her settled in, however, we learned that she is quite the opposite! Yes she's rather loud and playful, constantly squealing and kicking up her heels, but she also loves to explore. She thoroughly enjoys following our stable hands around like a puppy-dog, nosing at their back pockets or chasing after them when they start to leave her. We've actually taken to bringing her on walks with us! Haha, yes, this girl loves when you clip a lead rope to her, because that can only mean one thing: time for exploring!

Aeda is typically walked around the perimeter of the property, seeing as she's too small to be trusted in a pasture with the adult Tolts, and too young to be taken out on the trails without risking any illnesses (we're still waiting on her next check-up!) This girl is constantly on the move, and "walkies" seem to be her favorite way of expending energy. When she's not being taken on walks, she's typically playing keep away with our barn hands, be it taking their hats and running off, or snatching their gloves and prancing around, as if to say, "You can't catch me!"

It also seems she's become very attached to her new humans, almost to the point she's, well, a clingy barnacle. Yes, she tends to get a little mopey when left to her own devices in her stall, and has even been caught trying to escape! We're hoping she'll grow out of this and become more independent as time goes on, but at least we know this sweet little girl has a bright future ahead of her. With her newfound love for humans, and her constant craving for adventure, she'll very likely make a great trail pony, or even a therapy horse! Amazing things can happen when life hands you lemons...
Halter Color: I'd love a bright lemon-yellow halter, maybe with a noseband the same color as her eyes c8

Name: Mina
Gender: Mare
First meeting with your handlers: Mina met Hannah, a young handler-in-training first. The small palomino filly, bundled in a blanket, lay in the corner of a large stall. Hannah was brought in to try and coax the shy little one from her spot with food and a gentle presence. Mina was wary, she was in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar humans without the comfort of her brother next to her. The little golden ears pinned back with fear and her legs shook when Hannah first reaches out to run a soft finger down the filly's muzzle. Hannah got a nip for her efforts, but stayed in the stall. The handler sat on the opposite corner, watching the small filly while holding a bottle of warm formula in an insulator. She hoped that Mina would eventually get hungry enough to trust her, since the filly hadn't eaten since her arrival. Hannah's stubbornness paid off when little Mina rose to her tiny hooves and walked over, following the scent of the formula. The filly laid down next to Hannah and suckled from the proffered bottle, being sure to stay at arm's length.
Expand on her personality: Mina is a very shy filly who doesn't deal with change very well. She won't eat for hours or even days after she's moved to a new place if she doesn't have something that's familiar to her. Mina is also not very social, she can typically be seen hidden in a pile of hay or bedding the same color as her coat. The 'camouflage', she uses lets her stay out of the herd heirarchy without any trouble. Mina can't be housed with larger colts or fillies due to the fact that she's a natural doormat and pacifist. The golden filly doesn't want trouble, and will let others stomp her into the ground if it means avoiding conflict. The only time Mina is ever the tiniest bit hostile is when she's scared and in a new place. She can't handle stress and will turn to tiny nips and kicks to keep herself 'safe'. Mina absolutely terrified of trailers and has to be coaxed on with a blindfold over her eyes,

Expand on her personality: (2000 words max) aurora is very feminine. she shares easily, is affectionate, and even at this young age, shows a lot of grace in the way she carries herself. she has a quiet personality, but isn't necessarily shy. her voice is muted, pleasing, and draws the listener in like a soft song. her perception of the world is intriguing for someone of her youth. she knows that she is only a small piece in the grand scheme of things, and is perfectly satisfied with it. although wise, aurora is pure. she can empathize with almost anyone. she has a comforting aura, as if just being near her makes you feel more at ease. while loyal, aurora will do anything to avoid conflict. she often feels powerless in arguments, and does not like to cause scenes.

First meeting with your handlers: ( what? ) she was a little skiddish at first cause she didn't want to leave her little brother, but after a little bit she gathered herself and told herself that she needed to do this to show her brother that she wasent afraid and that he shouldn't be either, she did whine alittle and neigh when she was being put into the trailer to go to her new home but it was only to tell her brother thats everything is going to be ok and not to worry and that she would never forget him :)
Expand on her personality: before they got here she was the weak one she was so down from their journey alone but thanks to her little brother they got through and then when they got here and she say the terror in his eyes she knew that now was her time to be the brave sibling and from that point on she would be the brave trustworthy pull through one like her brother was when it was just them

Melody of Apollo's Lyre // Melody
Gender:
Mare
First meeting with your handlers:
Melody actually pranced out of the trailer when she first stepped foot here. She was very curious of everything and immediately started sniffing the water trough nearby. She had just been seperated from her brother but she is surprisingly happier than we expected though we expected her to be a little more secretive and quiet when she finds out of her separation. That was exactly what happened. After a few hours, she went into sort of a depression state where she just lumbered around her stall, head down and whining. That evening, when we came back to check on her, she was back to being a cheerful and friendly mare again.
Expand on her personality:
Adaptive
Despite being seperated and going to a new home, Melody adapted to the change of environment and people quite quickly. Many new faces and atmosphere surrounded her but she was very happy to be around.
Friendly
On the second day, when we brought her out to the paddock, she immediately started going around and interacting with the other horses. Her tiny legs took her to as many horses as she can see and eventually to the handlers who were keeping an eye on her at the edge of the paddock. She sniffed and nickered them before trotting off.
Curious
Melody was very curious of everything. The slightest movement of anything unfamiliar to her and she would trot right up to it and investigate it. Once, while one of the handlers was watering the flowers with a hose and left it on the floor to collect something, Melody somehow got out of the paddock and sniffed the hose. She didn't notice that she was stepping on the hose and water couldn't go through. When she finally got her hoof off, she was greeted by a jet of water. She neighed and ran back into the paddock. She was quite spokes after that small incident but nonetheless, got an answer to her many questions that fills her head.
