Delta Velorum Foxes are tall looking foxes that are only located on the remote planet of Delta Velorum.
Standing between 2 - 2 1/2 feet at the should, Delta Velorum Foxes are very tall in appearance compared to Red Foxes on Earth. They tend to be long legged in appearance and are well known for their endurance and agility. Males tend to be more muscular then females while female are more slender and elegant in appearance. A Delta Foxes fur tends to be very soft and short, and come in a wide variety of natural colors. It is not uncommon to see them in roans and dun colors similar to horses and are commonly seen in cat colors and patterns as well (such as calico, tabby, bengal markings ect). However the combination of colors and patterns are limitless, and each Delta Velorum Fox is different from the next. No two are ever the same in looks. Delta Velorum Foxes can come in any eye color and combination - no matter if it's natural or unnatural. A fox with two or more eye colors (known as Heterochromia) is uncommon but not unheard of.

Name: Ame
Name Meaning: Rain in Japanese
Gender: Vixen
Adoptive Parent: Rain (Yes she named the baby after herself. XD)
Personality: Quite surprisingly, Ame's personality take more after her Aunt Amia than it does her mother. She is kind, wise and always willing to lend a helping paw. Somehow, Ame always seems to know more than the other children her age and craves knowledge to the point of near obsession. She is also quite humble, a trait her mother lacks in entirety but her aunt has in spades. One of the few traits she takes from Rain is the penchant to be over-dramatic about things. She tends to make a much larger deal out of something than is necessary and has been known to over-exaggerate to the point of sounding ridiculous. This bothers Rain quite a bit since she knows her child is very smart and wants the other wolves to take what she says seriously. However, the other wolves are usually quick to point out that this trait is likely Rain's own fault and she needs to take responsibility.
Despite her mother's personality, Ame and very close with Rain and loves being around her. She sees her mother in a different light from the other wolves and is quick to defend her when they make negative comments. Ame knows what Rain went through trying to raise a child on her own, with only Amia for help and a bunch of loners that offered no support what-so-ever. It wasn't until Rain and Ame found a pack that things begun to get better for the pair. They are happy now and feel comfortable as members of the Wolfmarsh pack. She doesn't see Aunt Amia as much anymore but is happy that she and her mother have found somewhere to call home.
Extras: (Rain's POV) I ran quickly through the forest, paws kicking up dust as I went. The ground was soft from a recent storm and I had lost my footing more than one. It didn't matter though, nothing did at the moment. I needed to find Amia and it had to be now. She was the only one who could help me. After racing through the forest for what felt like hours, I finally made it to the place where Amia made her den. She was sitting outside watching some birds in the trees overhead, obviously relaxed and contented. I suddenly felt a bit bad about disturbing her. It had to be done though and I wasn't about to let a few birds stop me. Walking slowly in order to catch my breath, I went over to Amia and prodded her with my paw. Startled, she looked at me, her expression morphing into a smile as she realized it was just me. "Hello Rain, you look exhausted. Is there something I can do for you?" she asked, licking my ears affectionately. I nodded quickly, trying to find the words to explain my situation. "Amia...egg...alone...forest...help..." is all I actually managed to get out. Somehow though, she understood me anyway. "Ah, so you found an egg abandoned in the forest. Why exactly do you need my help though? You are not exactly the type to care much about an egg, especially one that is not your own." she said, looking at me quizzically. I sighed and begun to explain in a way I hoped she'd understand. "Amia...I cannot leave that egg there. I know better than anyone what it feels like to be abandoned and grow up always wondering about your family. I...I know I am not the best wolf to raise an egg but...I think I'd like to try. Will you help me Amia?" I asked, trying to get my body to stop shaking. 'Would the egg be okay while I was here? I had made sure to put it in a safe place so it should be...right? Why did I care so much anyway? It was just an egg wasn't it? No...it was my egg now right? I'd as good as claimed it anyway. What if I was a bad mother though? What if it hated me? What if...' I was pulled from my troubling thoughts by sudden laughter from Amia. "Oh Rain, just look at you. You are not yourself at all right now. This egg must really be troubling you huh? The answer you are looking for is actually quite simple though. If you want the egg, then take it. Yes you may not be what some would consider the ideal mother but I know you Rain. I know you better than anyone does, perhaps even better than you know yourself. Are you worried about the egg? Do you want to make sure it is safe and loved? That it feels understood and wanted? If so, then I think you already have your answer Rain." she said, nuzzling my shoulder. I simply nodded in understanding. She was right of course, she was always right about stuff like this. "Thank you Amia, for everything. I have my answer now." I said, licking her muzzle lovingly and walking to the edge of the forest. "Once it hatches, I think I'll bring the little one to visit you. After all, I want my child to know their aunt." I called to her before darting back into the forest. I had made my decision, now I just had to see it through. I would be the best mother that egg could ever have, I'd make sure of it.
(Wow, longest story I have written in a while. Amia is also my DVF and a sister figure to Rain so I hope I managed to portray at least a little bit of that in my story. I usually only write in first person so I do apologize if this is harder to read. ^^,)
