Delta Velorum Foxes are tall looking foxes that are only located on the remote planet of Delta Velorum.

Standing between 2 - 2 1/2 feet at the should, Delta Velorum Foxes are very tall in appearance compared to Red Foxes on Earth. They tend to be long legged in appearance and are well known for their endurance and agility. Males tend to be more muscular then females while female are more slender and elegant in appearance. A Delta Foxes fur tends to be very soft and short, and come in a wide variety of natural colors. It is not uncommon to see them in roans and dun colors similar to horses and are commonly seen in cat colors and patterns as well (such as calico, tabby, bengal markings ect). However the combination of colors and patterns are limitless, and each Delta Velorum Fox is different from the next. No two are ever the same in looks. Delta Velorum Foxes can come in any eye color and combination - no matter if it's natural or unnatural. A fox with two or more eye colors (known as Heterochromia) is uncommon but not unheard of.

Kit Number: #59 {the one with the turquoise ribbon}
Name: Sequoia
Name Meaning: named after the huge, red trees called Sequoia, where she was found.
Gender: vixen.
Adoptive Parent: Ceferino

Personality:
Knowing Ceferino all her short life, it would be difficult not to take after any of her father's qualities and so, like the saying goes, like father like son, {or father like daughter in this case}, they have some similarities.
For example, like Ceff {and also partly how he found her}, Sequoia is a collector. Well, a more accurate title would be hoarder. She keeps everything and anything, for a variety of reasons; her main excuse is 'but what if I need it' but sometimes it's hard to believe when you find old, rotting flowers and bone shards lying around. At first, Ceferino was pleased that his little girl was following in his pawsteps but once she began pestering him to carry things in his bag or filled every den they lived in with useless junk, his joy turned to annoyance and many a time Sequoia's hoarding was a cause of arguments.

In contrast, however, to Ceferino's quick-footed grace, Sequoia is clumsy and seems to always be coming back to her father with various cuts and bruises. Neither of the duo know how, but she always seems to get into trouble, from annoying a predator or dangerous prey, to just tripping over a root. It's rather unfortunate for Ceferino as he has to clean up her messes and watch her get hurt time and time again, but he's slowly getting used to it and is no longer surprised when she comes back with a scratch and an interesting story to tell.

But, again, like her father, she is very creative and loves making new things and thinking up ideas. Although, the way she uses her creativity is different to Ceferino, as instead of making accessories, Sequoia creates art pieces. They are usually quite abstract and each one is different from the next. Of course, she is limited to natural resources, but that doesn't stop her at all. Sequoia uses a variety of paints made from insect blood, berries and all sorts of materials and can even make a kind of glue from the right tree and plant saps. Her knowledge of the environment is vast, allowing her to take advantage of the chemicals found naturally around her.

How was she found?
Rain pattered softly through the thick, leafy canopy, occasional heavy drops splashing onto the ground below. It produced little muddy hollows in the ground and varying sizes of murky puddles, which were motionless apart from the periodic trickle that escaped the forest ceiling and caused small ripples on the surfaces. A pleasant musk of damp needles from assorted evergreens laced the air, strengthening when a sudden breeze picked up then fading when the air stilled. It was peaceful, for most creatures had sheltered away from the rain in trees, bushes or underground, leaving a strange calm over the woods.
There was one todd, however, that utilized the quiet, and who moved quickly and sure-footedly around the place, as if he knew every paw-step in the area which, in a round-about way, he did. Ceferino wasn't looking for anything in particular, perhaps a couple of the white flowers that bloomed around a particular stretch of roots, or maybe a nut uniquely carved by the tooth of a squirrel or mouse. It was a routine of sorts for him; come to the forest, forage for food and maybe return with a few unique spoils if he was lucky.
But what a special trophy he would find today...

As he darted from one tree to the next, green-eyed gaze scanning over every minute detail, Ceferino felt a little disappointed at the lack of flowers. It was spring, the grass should be thick and shoulder-high, there should be new blossoms blooming everywhere but instead the space was strangely empty. Sighing, he decided to leave the area and venture further into the woods, in search of at least a flower or two. The todd ambled on, the trees condensing and the canopy thickening but still, nothing.

Stopping for a brief rest between the enormous roots, Ceferino realized with a jolt that he had no clue where he was. The previous perfume of needles had disappeared and night was beginning to creep in. He would have to find a place to stay that night; he was too far away from his usual den to return. Behind him, he noticed a small gap in the huge trunk and, after a quick test with his whiskers, poked his way through. It was a tight, dark squeeze but it soon widened into a cosy space. And there, as if it had awaited his arrival, was a small egg just a little bigger than his paw. He was sure he would have sat on it if not for the stark white that patterned the otherwise reddish brown egg which stood out against the bark.

Ceferino uttered a small gasp, and a grin settled on his maw. No matter what this egg would turn into, he decided then and there that he would take it. Even better, if it didn't turn into anything, he could simply sit and admire it and add it to his growing collection of interesting souvenirs.

That night, the todd slept, long tail curled tightly around it. And Sequoia and Ceferino's hearts beated as one.
So full of hate were our eyes
That none of us could see
Our war would yield countless dead
But never victory
So let us cast arms aside
And like discard our wrath
Thou, in faith, will keep us safe
Whilst we find the path
