maybe this? I've tried it before and it's fairly simple (granted that I had my hair straightened at the time)


1. split the non-shaved side for a top part and a part that just stays on the side
   
2. take a rounded brush and slightly brush your hair towards one side, slightly curling the under part to get the wave like feel
3. use hair mousse or whatever you use to get it to stay in place and use your fingers to get
4. smooth out the sides and back
5. if you don't like it you can always go for the fun bun
