How She Got Her Halter:
Sienna got her halter during a racing competition. She and five other horses were racing around the dirt track. They were a little over half way to the finish line when Sienna's hoof got caught in a rock that had been left on the track by accident. She stumbled, twisting her leg. The other horses raced past her. She struggled to regain balance and not spill her rider. But, when she was balanced again and tried to put some weight on her leg, it burned and she whinnied shrilly in pain. Her rider was about to dismount but Sienna was determined. This was her first race and she wanted to finish it. Despite the pain in her leg she went on. She caught up with the horses behind the leaders, straining to move faster. Her rider kept trying to get her to slow down and the spectators were watching, their breath caught in their throat as the small mare fought to regain her position. With a swift burst of speed she passed the two horses in the back. The leaders, a large grey gelding and a swift sorrel mare, were running neck and neck. Sienna pushed harder and harder, her leg protesting every time her hoof hit the ground. She saw the finish line looming up before her and with all the strength she had left, and lots of determination, she pushed until she was almost beside the sorrel mare. The three horses crossed the finish line in a cloud of dust. Sienna stopped running a few paces after crossing the finish line. Her rider slid off, bending down to examine her leg. The grey gelding was announced the winner of the race, and the sorrel mare in second, Sienna making a close third. Her rider took her to the stable where a vet examined her. He said her leg had been badly twisted and strained, but could heal if she was careful and rested for a certain amount of time. As Sienna was being groomed the judges of the race came into the stable. They said that they had been looking forward to seeing the young mare perform for the first time on the track, and that her performance had been more than they had expected. They then held out a lovely bronc bridle with pink hearts. They said that for her heart, and spirit, they wanted to give her the bronc bridle as a special prize. Her rider thanked the judges then slipped it over Sienna's head. It was a perfect fit.
After that day at the races Sienna did heal, and she went on to become a wonderful racer on the track, and a barrel racer. And despite all the prizes she won the bronc bridle remained special and hung on the wall outside her stall door at the center of all her ribbons.

Story: Scarlett is a pro barrel racer. She has raced in the NFR, and in just average rodeos. Her rider, loves her dearly, and treats her to anything Scarlett could dream of. A new comfortable saddle, a fashionable bridle, polo wraps and splint boots. Anything Scarlett has ever desired. Scarlett and her rider win various things in rodeos and such, like belt buckles and the occasional saddle. She also won her favorite bronc halter at a rodeo, she remembers exactly what happened. They were running a perfect pattern, when Scarlett stumbled, but she caught herself just in time to whip around the second barrel. The first barrel was tight and quick, but the second one was wider, Scarlett knew she had to catch up for the lost time. She threw her heart into it and turned tight as possible around that third barrel. She came out clean and sped away goin for the home. She beat the the time and won! Her rider could not believe that they had won, and they even beat their own record. Scarlett could see her rider beaming with pride, and she was happy with herself. It was one of their first rodeos, and they had beat everyone else, even with a stumble and a wide turn. They were awarded a bronc halter with a large heart on it. Scarlett thought that was fitting, since she had to throw her whole heart in it to win.
