name
Kiska
a Russian name meaning 'pure'
gender
magigirl; she/her pronouns mostly,
sometimes they/them

favorite treat and why
Her favorite is easily hot cocoa. Kiska spends so much time out in the snow and cold that when she retreats to shelter she needs something hot to drink; and there's nothing more satisfying than the sensation of taking a long drink and feeling the warmth all the way to the tip of her tail. She's also a sucker for decorating cocoa, such as adding extra spices to it or trying to make a pattern out of the tiny marshmallows on top via careful nudging of her nose.
favorite movie and why
Kiska has always loved the movie "The Year Without a Santa Clause". It's a very old movie, having premiered in the 70's, and the animation leaves much to the imagination when compared to newer movies but she has always loved a specific character in the film that keeps her coming back to watch it every holiday season. The aforementioned character is the infamous Snow Miser. Kiska relates a lot with this character; he probably loves the cold almost as much as she does.
Because she has seen this movie ever since she was young the bad graphics don't bother her much these days. She kind of sees the oversaturated colors and the jerky animation as a simple trademark of the movie; it makes it work better, even. And she loves the songs, particularly Snow Miser's fervent wishes for a cold Christmas. The surrounding lyrics are in fact from that song and Kiska's favorite line.
personality
charismatic || energetic || optimistic || untroubled
Kiska is easy to please and always happy to make a new friend. She is patient, unbothered by even the cruelest words, excitable; she's very much childish but this is not always a bad thing as it keeps her innocent and friendly. She spends a great deal of her time outside in the snow and when its warm she can be found sulking somewhere in the shade. She has a wide variety of friends due to her outstanding nature and few enemies. Kiska does believe in holding grudges and has little to no temper.

short story
Kiska lay in the snow beside Nemo and pressed geometric shapes into the top crust with delicate twists of her hooves. Nemo lay on their back, legs held at sharp jack-knife angles over their chest and belly, tail sweeping the ground with idle flicks. They watched the sky while Kiska watched the ground, coming half-up onto her chest to study the design she had made and add an additional square after a short consideration.
"Nemo," she said, rousing the other Viscet's attention. "I've made a snowman."
Nemo rolled all the over upon that announcement, laughing. "You have not," they said with a second laugh. "You've made the design of one, but you didn't MAKE one."
Kiska stood on her hind legs and gestured with the front at Nemo. "I can't shape snow with these," she said laughing. If it bothered her at all it did not show in her expression; Kiska had gotten over her dislike of her hooves as a child. She now understood that they lent her a better grip in the snow than her pawed relatives, and that with hooves she had an easier time of desert and sand.
"Well then," Nemo said, grinning. "We're gonna build a snowman together."
Kiska collected the snow, rolling it with great gestures of her head and neck into loose balls. Nemo packed it using their quick paws, stacked the balls once they had made three and directed Kiska to find twigs for the arms. She ventured into the woods on the quest, nosing around in snow and discarding quite a few branches which simply did not fit her vision for this snow fellow. When she ventured it was with victory; she carried in her mouth two long twigs that both forked at one end like spread fingers.
"Perfect," Nemo said, supervising while Kiska pressed them into the snowman's torso. They stepped back together to admire their creation and Nemo flopped back into the snow with a loud laugh. "He's the best I have ever created," they said, making Kiska laugh too because frankly, their snowman left a great deal to be desired.
"He's missing eyes," Kiska said reasonably, and Nemo rooted around in the snow beneath her chin before uncovering a handful of small black stones.
"Give him a mouth too," they said cheerfully and so Kiska did, pressing an exaggerated grin into the snowman's face. "Perfect," Nemo said with satisfaction.
