Welcome To The Spaghetti Snakes Nursery! Here the snakes hatch from their cans, then grow up from baby to child to teenager! Once they grow up from teenager they get put on our main thread. Not only ones bred from forms are here, though. Litters are bred here, and some pound and adoptions as well! There's also the option to have your custom grow up from an egg!
Spaghetti Snakes hatch from cans. They start out as little, tiny, white eggs and quickly grow within a day into a can. The can then takes about a week to hatch. Babies take a day or two to grow, and children grow in another two days. Teenagers usually take two days, but can of course take longer.
The can generally hints toward the colours and patterns of the snake, except for the label. The label is coloured either blue or pink and determines the snake's gender. It has about a 75% chance to predict right.
The baby stage never has the signature loop, and their skin is pretty thick for protection in the wild. Their colours are usually lighter and paler than they will be as an adult. As well, their eyes are just black and have no colour at all. They never have patterns.
The child stage is a little different. The main colours are as bright as they should be when at adult age, save the patterns. The patterns are faint. The child stage's eyes are coloured, but lighter than what they will be later on. A child has the loop. Any items are given now, and most mutations can be seen now. This is also when you see the actual gender of the snake. They also get the thicker tail at this point.
The teenager stage is nearly adult. They have two loops, however, and the tighter they are the more attractive the snake is considered to be. At this age, they start to find mates. They can also breed, but the children are more likely to have mutations or have extremely bland colours, and grow much slower. (I'm just saying that if you want, you can decide with another player that your teen snake can breed with another player's snake as an adult. Or, if you're willing to take the chance, you can breed now. If they're both teenagers, it's a 50% chance for each of the different misfortunes to happen. If only one is a teen, it's a 25% chance for each) All the patterns are fully grown in, and the eye colour is the same as an adult. The tip of their tail is thin, but grows thick as an adult. There are few mutations that crop up only at this point. If you wish to modify your snake by paying extra, this stage is your last chance to do things like change a base colour or give them wings.
Breeding forms are currently on the main page, but I'll move them soon, as well as breeding rules and an estimate of how long each will take to grow.
