[Queen Vivane]

I watched as the young woman dissapeared into the barn for a moment, she returned a moment later with a gorgeous high stepping black chestnut stallion. The pony snorted when his gaze fell on me, those golden eyes connected with my own crimson pair and for a minute we simply stood. Gazing at one another. Something seemed to satisfy the stallion as he swiftly yanked the leadrope out of young woman's hand and trotted over to inspect me more closely.

"Well, hello to you too" I laughed and brought a hand up for him to sniff. He inhaled deeply and then gently lipped at my hand. "I take it that means I'm acceptable?" I asked him with a smile not expecting an answer in terms of words. Those beautiful gold eyes watched me intently and his ears remained forward, his body language calm and unwavering.

"I should get you home and see about finding you a space in one of the barns, than we get you properly introduced your new home" I told him a smile not minding as he rubbed his dirty face against my cheek.

I lowered the ramp of the trailer and moved up to go and grab the black chestnut stallion who was waiting inside. Untying the knot I took hold of the leadrope and lead him down and out of the trailer. Koga examined the yard with curiosity, looking around and scenting the air as we moved toward one of the barns.

It was chilly out and I wished I'd brought a thicker jacket as the cold nipped at her skin through the thin fabric. Hot breath on my head reminded me of my obligation to my new stallion and I smiled as we moved into the barn. Various heads stuck out over their stall doors, their owners calling out various formations of greeting be it whinny's, neighs or wickers. I greeted them one by one name by name until we came to an empty stall, the floor was already covered with a nice deep bed of straw.

Clucking my tongue I urged Koga into the stall so he could get a feel for it, the stallion looked round before stretching leisurely and glancing at me as if to say. What's next?

I lay in the middle of the field, letting the sun wash over me while ignoring the presence that I knew was keeping an eye on me.

"I could stay here all day" I sighed and crossed one leg over the other, keeping my head resting on my arms and leaving my eyes closed. With my music on, I couldn't hear a thing not as though that would make much difference, I could still use my other senses to discern what was going on around me.

The music played softly in my ears, drowning out the world as I lay in the sunshine. Letting the rest of the world go unnoticed while I relaxed. True, I had an ulterior motive for doing this. I wanted Koga to trust me and in order to gain that trust I wanted to do numerous things, my current actions being the first on the list.

It was while before the gentle vibrations of approaching hooves made themselves known, soon after I felt hot breath ghosting over my hair and face before a warm nose gently butted the side of my head.

"Well hello you, come to investigate me?" I asked him not expecting an answer of any verbal sort really. I never did, after all most of my charges couldn't speak in a way I would understand. I felt rather than heard the thud of a large body settling down behind me and head coming to rest by the side of my body. Slowly I moved my hand and rested the tips of my fingers on Koga's nose, he didn't move, only sighed and allowed me to gently rub small circles on his muzzle.
