Her name will be Raisa
First touch -
When it came to water, Raisa had too much energy. I rested my head against the fence as I watched her swim and paddle around in the lake with the happiest look on her cute little nera face. I saw her snap at something in the water, and I giggled a bit. There are tons of fish in the lake, but I wasn't prepared to see her snap at the water and a certain dog launch out of the water, snapping back at her. My smile was gone as I threw open the gate and ran in, getting between the two of them. I placed both hands on Raisa's chest, petting her softly and whispering soothing things to her. Once she'd calmed down, I turned around to deal with Pupadou but he was sitting outside the pasture as if nothing had happened.
First saddle -
I gently ran my hand over Raisa's side, trying to calm her. Her whole body was shaking in fear. She knew something was "wrong". I hummed to her, trying to calm her down. Soon she began to relax, so I gently stroked her nose and led her over to the saddle. She lowered her head and sniffed the saddle then took a nip at it. When she realized it wasn't going to bite her, she seemed to calm down quite a bit. I kissed her face before lifting the saddle and gently placing it on her back. She froze up again, nervous of the sudden weight on her back. "Raisa, you're okay. Shhh..." I said in my calmest voice, stroking along her side. I saddled her up and rubbed her neck. "Oh what a good girl..." I purred to her. Her ears twitched cutely at the words "good girl". We walked around the farm for awhile while she got used to her saddle. After 10 minutes, I unsaddled her and released her back to her pasture.
first ride -
We had made a lot of progress, as a team. Raisa was no longer scared of saddles, and she could do some cute tricks! So today, I'm gonna try to ride her. I walked confidently into the arena, ready to finish Raisa's training. I stopped and smiled when I saw Raisa, wearing her saddle and doing the cutesy sway trick I taught her. I walked to her and she stopped before rubbing her head against me. I patted her face gently. "Hello my Raisa." I said to her. "Are you ready?" Raisa tilted her head curiously. I chuckled as I patted her neck. I got in the saddle and she froze. After a few seconds, she relaxed and released a yawn. I giggled as I nudged her sides and said "Walk on." She started to walk around the arena, her ears twitching every now and then. After 20 minutes, I got off and hugged her before unsaddling her and letting her go back to her pasture.
