What is a "Nocturi"
well! Nocturi have a body shape like a cheetah, and a face like a fox's. They also have horns that can be many shapes, styles, and colors. They also have a long tufted tail, sort of like a lion's. They are completely incapable of digesting meat, making them herbivores. They are small, standing at only 1.5 feet at age three. Nocturi and nocturnal, and spend the days playing with others in their group caves, and/or sleeping. Strangely, Nocturi have been spotted "singing"... no not like that! They make many whistling and yipping sounds. They are also capable of mimicking thousands of sounds.The Nocturi have been around longer than the dinosaurs, and are going extinct. But as of now, no one knows how many are left.

Backstory: Nova is extremely shy. She mysteriously appeared one day in a forest occupied by many Nocturi, including Isola and Wakanda. Thus far, Nova has not met Wakanda. However, she has settled into an unlikely friendship with the reclusive and often prickly Isola. For all anyone knows, Nova doesn't even have a real name. However, when Isola described the night sky to her blind friend, she mentioned the word "supernova" and Nova seemed to smile a bit.
Nova is essentially helpless without Isola. She is blind, and while she can walk around without crashing into things, she cannot find food for herself or defend herself well. She also seems to be mute; the reason is unknown, but some theories are:
-Nova simply does not speak the language that the other Nocturi in the area speak, or possibly was never taught any language at all.
-Nova's shyness is so severe that she is emotionally held back from conversing with anyone.
-A more radical (and probably untrue) theory is that Nova is here to choose a select few Nocturi to exterminate and therefore does not want to emotionally attach herself to anyone.
I dunno who came up with that last one, but there is a small group of Nocturi who seem to legitimately believe this theory, so. . .there ya go.
Anyway, the only one who really knows anything about this Nocturi is Isola, and even she doesn't know a whole lot. What she does know is that Nova prefers most plants over most animals in terms of food, but Nova has a weak spot for a fat, freshly caught bird. Nova also loves praise for a job well done; once, when Isola left to hunt for a day and left Nova in her den, she came back to find the den completely spotless. Cleaning the den would have been especially tough due to Nova's blindness; she would have had to sniff out or feel around for stains and debris. Nova seemed pleased by Isola's surprised and happy reaction to the newly cleaned den.
Secretly, Isola hopes that she might be able to at least get Nova to speak if she can't teach her to fend for herself, but in the end Isola would stay with her friend no matter what.
