name meaning: The show name is one of Apollo's many titles, and given that Apollo is both a Greek deity and related to the sun I believed it was a fitting combination of their parents. However I wanted to be more creative than simply naming them 'Apollo' so I researched why he was called the wolf-god and found something very interesting. "...some derive it from lukos, a wolf, so that it would mean "the wolf-slayer;" others from lukê, light, according to which it would mean "the giver of light"". This relates back to her father, who is a ferocious Greek Titan and infamous for his belligerence. Her barn name comes from a Canaanite goddess of the same name who was a goddess of the sun and referred to as the 'torch of the gods', given that she was so luminous and bright. She was traditionally worshiped at sunrise, noon, and sunset.

fun fact about greek mythology: The best aspect of Greek mythology (to me) is the labyrinthine family tree of the gods. A lot of mythologies have incestuous families but the Greek gods continued having children after multiple generations had passed; so Zeus has a whole plethora of children, some with children of his siblings, which not many mythologies can attest to. There's nothing better than sitting down one afternoon and doing your best to sketch out the Greek gods, even if you restrain yourself to just the Twelve Olympians. (Also just for kicks my favorite story is Athena's birth; I'm not sure why anybody would ax themselves in the head when experiencing a terrible headache but it's hilarious to me that it happened that way at all. A morning sun is usually one of the brightest and most cheerful things that happens for the start of the day, so I've used the morning sun yet put a spin on it to become the 'mourning' sun. When the reaper has gone through it usually implies loss of a loved one, which in turn would leave someone in despair and mourning. So hence the combination of the parent's as a mourning sun, the bright and the scythe. c:
