Gender: Male
Age:22

Personality:{Loyal // Protective // Stubborn}
Kaida is know around the kingdom for being very loyal and protective of his parents, or just the kingdom in general. In fact, his stubborn nature makes these traits a lot worse when he gets worked up. Though it should be said that he only gives his loyalty and protection to those that he learns to care deeply about. Trust is a big thing for Kaida and he needs to feel like he can trust somebody before he can give them his loyalty.
When you do have his loyalty though, it's one of the best things he could ever give you. Kaida wants to always protect the people he loves and cares about. He always wants them to be safe and healthy. If anything or anybody were to threaten those people, nobody would want to get in the path of an angry Kaida.
Kaida has always been stubborn though, even as a child. It's in his nature to go against things that he does not agree with or just does not like in general. He almost always would get overruled by his parents though, no matter how hard he tried to fight anything.
The Prince and the Protector:Kaida was born into wealth in a small kingdom on the outskirts of Spain, his parents the great and revered King and Queen of the kingdom. He had a pretty normal childhood, if only the difference in that he got everything he wanted and couldn't really play outside of the castle walls. He had, and still has, a loving relationship with his parents. Of course there was a little bit of yelling and arguing when he was a teenager.
Kaida would like to say that his life changed when he met Castor at the age of 20. Kaida had had guards around him for most of his life; always hovering in the background. It was only when he had reached 20, and had given him more freedom to go outside the castle walls, that he should have a 24/7 personal guard.
Kaida at first, of course, was absolutely adamant about not needing a guard. He thought that he was old enough to fend for himself and they he didn't need a shadow to follow him around everywhere. He kept this mindset even after Castor officially became his guard by the orders of his parents. Kaida was snappish at Castor whenever Castor tried to talk to him, and sometimes he even tried to run away from him to get a moment of peace. It never worked. Castor was too good at his job.
Eventually though, this all changed. It had happened a month before his 21st birthday. Kaida still hadn't completely warmed up to Castor, but he was for sure not as rude. He was still stubborn about it though, and figured that he probably always would be. But, that wasn't the case. Another kingdom parallel to theirs had been visiting; Kaida didn't really know why. He thinks he remembers his father telling him something about a trade agreement but he had never really payed attention to the politics of the kingdom.
Castor had been the one to see the knife in the hand of the other kingdom's guard. Kaida doesn't really remember what happened. He just knows that one moment he was reaching out to shake the hand of the visiting King and then Castor had tackled the guard and knocked a long and deadly knife out of his hand.
After that, it was just a whole bunch of his father and mother praising Castor. Praising how brave and noble he was. Kaida agreed. In all truth, he had always liked Castor, even when he was yelling at him. He knows that Castor knows this too because when he was talking to his parents, Castor looked over the King's shoulder and gave Kaida a small smile.
He guesses that is probably when the love thing started, too.
The Key:This key, specifically.Kaida and Castor have come a long way from when they had first met. Kaida will always claim that he totally didn't care about Castor or find him attractive when they first met. Castor knows it's all a lie though; he already knows Kaida's tells.
When Kaida had given this key to Castor though, they both knew what it meant. They knew that they were a forever thing; nothing was going to change that.
The key opened a door into a secret passageway that lead straight into Kaida's personal room. They were not able to be public about their relationship, not yet, so they had to make do with sneaking off together during the day and meeting under the cover of the dark. The key itself is worth thousands, just from the special stone that sits in it. Castor had been adamant about not carrying it around at first, scared he would loose it. Kaida fixed that by having it put onto a silver chain to be worn as a necklace. It makes him feel warm to think about Castor wearing it.
They both cherish these moments; sometimes just using them for peace and quiet and reveling in each others company. It has brought a immense amount of happiness into Kaida's life that he didn't even know he was missing; hadn't even thought about it before Castor. But the best thing about it is that he knows that they would die for each other, but he also knows that they would live for each other.
