[The Lost Gremlin]

Welcome to The Safari Zone!

The Safari Zone is a special preserve in which many wild Pokémon live, and can be found in most regions. Just about any species and type of Pokémon can be found here including legendaries, starters and more unusual species, with each one made unique in some way.
Ocassionally multiple Pokémon and eggs may also become available for adoption.

Unless it's a custom, anyone is welcome to try-out and adopt one of these Pokémon.

"You're fishing in a boat in the middle of an enormous lake when suddenly you feel some disturbance in the water. All of a sudden a Gyarados and a Dragonair erupt from the depths. They appear to be locked in combat, Hyper Beams and Hydro Pump attacks being thrown in all directions. Finally the Dragonair gets the upper hand and manages to defeat its opponent. You manage to get a closer look at it and quickly realise that it has a small piece of jewellery made from what looks to be an eviolite stone on its head, making you wonder if it used to belong to someone. It seemingly ignores you before disappearing back beneath the surface."

How did it get it's eviolite?: Drai was hatched in a small, but popular lake. As a young Dratini, she was very shy. She would always hide herself in the water when boats or fishermen came along. There were a lot of people and trainers that came by, so she stayed hidden from sight almost full days.

One day, it was unusually quiet, so she decided to come up to the surface. On the way, an angry Gyrados attacked, blasting her out of the water and onto the shore. She was was so weak that she couldn't move to get back in the small lake. Only moments later though, an elderly fisherman walked past. He looked carefully in her direction, and without hesitation he rushed over. He healed her then helped her gently back into the lake. Drai brought her head out of the water as this fisherman walked away. She liked this human. She wished she could repay him, but that might mean becoming his pokemon. She wanted to stay wild though.

Over the next couple of days this elderly fisherman returned to the lake to check on the small Dratini, and little by little Drai would inch out to greet him. The two became great friends over the weeks, and one day he presented her a present. He realized she wouldn't want to become his pokemon and he was moving away soon. He doubted they would see each other again.

On this bright morning, a Dratini was given a crown made of eviolite. It was placed upon her head and then an elderly fisher walked away. She never saw him again.

Eventually, Drai was moved to the Safari Zone so her little lake could become a park for children. There she worked hard to become stronger even though she still avoided trainers, glancing at them only long enough to see if her elderly friend had returned. To this day she still wears the crown of eviolite, even though she has recently evolved into a Dragonair.
