Hazard Cats are felines with long limbs and robotic parts. Their tails are made of metal with some form of energy in the center that holds it together. Glass screens are installed into their chests that show the cats' health in the form of a heartbeat, glowing orb, or even something else. The color of the glow on the screen matches their eyes, which typically have hollowed pupils. Some cats have static on their screens, but beware. Those cats are as dangerous as they are rare. Grates are positioned on each of the cats' sides and aid in breathing. Depending on the cat, steam, mist, or liquid can come from these grates. They have three eyes, but the one in the center is almost always taped down or covered with a band-aid. This is done due to the hidden and sometimes dangerous powers that the third eye contains. Large eyes allow them to see in extremely low levels of light and their big ears help them hear potential prey miles away. Thanks to their strong legs, Hazard cats can reach speeds up to fifty miles per hour and leap near ten feet up.

I made the rough design for this cat aaaaages ago when the first center was still open
I deleted the file a couple months back when I had lost all hope of these guys making a return ;w;
So, instead of coming up with something different, I decided to bring her back
The hazard has an elemental power and you get to pick what it is!
This will be an impress me contest, so the form below is only the bare minimum uwu

--Her grate is a sound grate, but the mist forms itself into the image of roses
--Her wings are powered by her third eye and can disappear/reappear

--Screen covers pretty much her whole front half
--The scene in her screen does not shift to other places, but it does move and sometimes creatures will wander into view
--Eyes can change color to pink, green, or grey if she wishes
--Hair flows as if underwater
--Six grates, three on each side
--Ears are jagged towards the base and also are bigger than normal
--Has an elemental power

Moonlit shadows emerged from an urban tree as a small, yet beautifully unique hazard cat floated from her cover onto the pavement as she summoned her amber wings to dissolve into nothingness. She winced as her delicate glass screen made contact with the hard ground, knowing of the all too familiar burst of pain that would come soon after. As the pain swam over her, she bit her lip and stared down at her paws, trying to focus. She stared at the cascading grey and white pulses that warned of the pressure she was putting upon herself and let out a frustrated growl. She didn't understand why she couldn't be normal, why she couldn't live without this... Defect that not only caused her immense pain when walking that she had to become accompanied to over the countless years and made running near impossible, but spread across her body like a unsightly birthmark. A splatter on her front side that abstracted her from others, a terrible imperfection that painted her blue on a canvas of red.

Although, she knew how others saw the feature. They looked upon her imperfection with envious eyes, complimenting her and placing her in a showcase, like an artifact in display in a museum. The worst part of it was that she knew what they really thought of her. They knew she was special and they wanted to exploit it and make her feel different from the rest of her kind. Arguably even worse, that was the way she felt. She hated it, every bit and piece of the praise that they hand her.

It would be so simple to summon her wings and lift off of the ground, to not have to worry about shattering or damaging her screen any more than it has been from walking on the fragile glass, but she knew she could never do that. What common hazard called society was a monster of greed and destruction, armed with sharp claws built to drag you down in with them. In the beginning, they'll put on their masks, decorated with happy looks and congratulatory faces that all wither away in the comfort of their own homes. What was happy and admiring spoils to anger and determination to take away what made them special. After all, that's what had happened to her mother.

She remembers the day with stunning clarity. She remembered how her mother, the only one who had helped her through the storm of chaos and destruction of her life bidding her farewell for school as she always did with the same genuine smile and the shining hair that tucked over her ear. The scent of fire that lingered throughout their neighborhood as she walked back from school was what would haunt haunt her for her whole life. Her house had been burnt down to mere rubble and it was suspected to be arson. She was truly devastated at that time and it only got worse when it was decided who's care she would go into.

Veronica had been placed into care with her mothers sister, and been made to move from the small, loving town and the forest that she cared for so deeply was snatched away from her. It had been replaced with the stone hard ground of the city and her sister along with her relatives who would talk, constantly about how they were happy that their own mother wasn't alive anymore. About what a pain she was and about how they hated the fact that she would complain about what was happening to her. The only loving aspect of her life left now was her mourning dove, Akari. He had been the only one to survive the fire, due to an open window an an open cage that Veronica would have to constantly remind her mother about. In the end, though it turned out to be the largest of blessings as they were able to fly out the window and make it to safety in a nearby tree. Through all the shock and the grief that they both went through, it was equally hard for Veronica to tell the firemen in anything even close to clear dialect and for them to actually coax the animal out of the tree for her.

And after living with the abomination of people that her mothers family calls themselves, they had to "Break the news to her" that they could no longer keep a "filthy animal" in their environment. At that point, she was done. She could not watch and let her family take away the very thing that made her life worth living after everything else had been brought down to literal ash. She took her bird in the darkest hour of what could still be called the night and flew out, planning to start a new life that she could actually call worthwhile.

Now here she is, setting one glassy paw out in front of the other, ignoring the seering pain that came with every step just as she had done her whole life, her first steps into her new life.

Alani and Veronica have known each other for a very long time, almost as long as Veronica has lived in the forest. Their personalities match up very well and there is almost nothing that is very setting off to each of them. Veronica cares deeply for her friend and she gets really worried when she sees her in her almost episode like stages of worrying about her life and how it could go wrong. She always tells her about what happened in her own, though and how life will take its twists and turns but you'll always end up in a good place if you're determined enough. She takes Alani seriously as a hazard cat as she knows that's one of the things that Alani dislikes the most. In return, the equally thoughtful hazard cats talks with her deeply about what happens to her and looks in Veronica for what bothers her and what doesn't.

Being in a part of the forest along with Ver, Pekoe is one of the few hazard cats that is within contact of her. Veronica and Pekoe are definitely on good terms with one another, but she herself really wouldn't consider her a friend of theirs. Though she doesn't think of Pekoe of more than an acquaintance, it should be kept in mind that there are very few hazards that she actually likes as friends. They share friendly words and talk about how their lives have been going whenever they see each other walking in the forest or by the stores and markets set out by merchants in the forest. Ver enjoys pekoe's kind gestures and concern for her but the fact that she regards her as "special" and always asks to hear tales of how she got that image on her screen bothers her immensely. Her stuck up nature is another thing that keeps them from becoming too close. Though they have differences that keep them apart, they have similarities as well. For instance, they both share a liking for tea and herbs. Veronica has been to pekoe's place in the mountains a few times before and they always have tea together.

Veronica has known Suitchi for a long time and they have quite a good relationship. He is one of the few that is considered a friend to Veronica and it probably goes back to the reason that he is very kind and that he understands others emotions well. Due to her shady outlook on society, she believes (and rightfully so) that people are ignorant and do by treat others well. That they don't care enough to think about you or read what you're really trying to say when you tell them, "I'm okay." He does, and he actually understands, for once someone understands that all she wants is to be treated like a normal cat. Though every relationship has their faults, and of course, so does theirs. Veronica, being able to read intentions and emotions well as well can tell how much he wants a mate. She worries that he may have a crush on her and, being deathly afraid of any kind of love, that it will one day ruin her relationship with him. Regardless, she sees him with other female hazards and the way he acts around them, and It leaves her with a bitter taste, that he may one day betray her for lack of dedication.

Kau and Veronica met by a stream that ran through by an abandoned house, the place that Kauhu takes refuge in. At the beginning, she approached her with a friendly smile and started talking to her just as a hazard would to anyone else. Although she thought it to be random, she went along with it and she's been great friends with the hazard ever since. Even though many times they don't share the same ideals and Kau's excitedness can be a bit overwhelming and irritating to Veronica. Many times they'll go out hunting together by the same river they met at, as Kauhu always remembers that veronica only eats fish as a meat.

Who Is She?
Maylea is a Dryad, an immortal spirit of the woods. She spends most of her time caring for the entire forest she lives in. But there is one spot that is extremely special to Maylea, the area shown on her screen. It is the place where life giving water, soul breathing wind, and the forming earth mixed together to create her.
It a special place that Maylea would give her life to protect.

Personality
Maylea is a gentle playful soul
most of the time.
But if she sees her home, her friends,
or any thing that cannot protect itself
threatened, she can take on the fury of
the elements themselves.
But it is with total decisiveness that she does so
the ability to weird the elements is in no way a trivial one.
If she where to grow angry and forget herself,
she could end up destroying what she cared most for
instead of eradicating the threat.
But fortunate, Maylea was born a
calm, level-headed, sensible soul
she would never loose herself in her anger
full-knowing she could wipe out the entire forest.

Loves and hates
Maylea's favorite things are:
The song of birds
The laughter of streams
The whisper of warm breezes
The feeling of growing things
The taste of ripe strawberries
The sight of the sun rising
and the glory of its setting
The pale satin light of the moon
The twinkle of the pin-prick stars
Maylea's least favorite things are:
The buzz of chainsaws cutting into
her beloved trees
The sounds of pain
The stench of smoke
The oily look of a polluted river
The taste of a rotten fruit
The fierce glow of man-made light

Powers
As a Dryad, Maylea can of course talk to trees.
But along with that ability is the talent for communicating to animals and humans.
Also, she can speak to river spirits if need be and of course, other dryads, however few of them there may be.
To accomplish all of these things, she uses her sound grates to speak, she can only speak Hazard with her mouth.
And, as for the mist, it is a powerful healing agent that can clean and repair the gravest of wounds of any plant or animal.
But along with these gifts of communication and healing, is one that is her's and her's alone; the power of the elements.
It is not the gift to contain water or control fire or to raise mountains from the core of the earth, nor to make the winds blow.
It is the energy of nature. Or, simply put, the ability to use any type of natural asset in the world, from growing plants, to stopping the flow of rivers, Maylea has a terrific responsibility with her third eye's power. But she uses it well to protect her home.
And last, but certainly not in the least are her wings. Though they appear insubstantial, they are in reality very powerful, and extremely useful when she needs to travel in a quick and seemly manner, or for simply playing with her flying friends of the forest.

Friends
Maylea would consider every animal in the forest, every bird in the air, and every fish in the sea her friend.
But even so, there are a scant few she loves dearly and trusts completely.

Laylee The Laugher
Being a Mocking bird, Laylee can be quite annoying sometimes. But she has been friends with Maylea for most of the Dryad's life due to the fact that the bird was hatched in the very branches of the tree that Maylea lives in, and would do anything for her friend and guardian.
Pippin the Practical
Being a chickadee Pippin doesn't have much time to play, but she helps Maylea organize food for autumn, seeds for spring, snowflakes for winter, and generally anything she needs to be organized in the summer.
Toben the Mournful
Toben takes the meaning of being a Mourning Dove very seriously. He can never seem to see the bright side of life.
Ironically this makes him a very good bird to have in a crisis since he can foresee the way things may turn out and can help to avoid disastrous outcomes. Unfortunately it makes him a depressing companion.
