What they do on road trips!: Dolly is a very good girl and usually stays still. But, then again, that's in her single or double horse trailer. She gets extremely terrified when she has to be in a trailer that has more than two horses in it, I guess you could say she has the horse version of claustrophobia. Dolly will be a good girl and eat hay and be still when she is in a single or double trailer, but any bigger with any more than two horses and she will go into a spooked fit; rearing and squealing and refusing to get on. During the trip, she is quiet and loves feeling the wind on her nose. It makes her feel secure and able to breathe. If you want her to get on a trailer with more than two horses, make sure she has room to put her nose through a cut out in the trailer and be able to breath fresh air. Dolly is very shaky once the road trip is done, and it normally takes her about thirty minutes to get out of the trailer. If she jumps, she might collapse on impact. So, she seems to take to taking her time and slowly inching off the trailer. Why she gets so shaky, nobody really knows but Dolly. Dolly is as good as gold on any road trip, unless her owner(s) are in a horrible mood and take it out on her. She will then, refuse to get on the trailer, refuse to be good, and just be plain, flat out rude. Treat her good, she will treat you good. Dolly is very good at adapting to new places, and has a good memory of places she visits most often. Her favorite place is home, of course, as she hasn't taken a major liking to anywhere else.

What they do on road trips!:

Silence is a very calm horse when it comes to almost everything, everything except road trips.
Road trips give her horrible cramps as she did not use to get that much exercise as she was used as a brood mare. She also had never been trailered that much so she get very scared during the process. She must be taken out of the trailer every two hours and be walked about for a few minuets to reduce cramps. After walking about it takes 10 sometimes 15 minuets to get her back in. However if there is another horse in the trailer with her, she will be less panicked and may go into the trailer easier. She also does not like how much noise road trips cause with the cars and the rattling that can sometimes be heard from the tow chain. With a bit of work however silence can be calm in the trailer, if given snacks and one of her closer heard members Silence will be calmer. She will not rear when being loaded if she has a carrot or better yet an apple. And recently a new trailer with trainer living quarters and multiple stalls as well as other good things was bought, Silence likes this trailer because she can move in it a lot more than she used to.

usually sleeps the ride out. She is always calm and has the patience
of a turtle so she pays no heed to the other horses during rides. If it
is a long trip she will get antsy but doesn't buck or whine about it.

What they do on road trips!: Due to life as a show horse, Rain is constantly being trailered to new places. If the road trip is just a short 30 mile drive Rain will just enjoy the view and take in some fresh air from the outside. If it's longer Rain will go to something like nibbling on hay provided by her owner. If hay is included during the trailoring at the beginning of the trip then Rain knows it's going to take a while to get where they're going. This mare has learned that how to occupy herself pretty well, with losing herself in her imagination and thinking about adventures she would be having out in the fields passing by. If they're driving through a big city Rain becomes disinterested with all the skyscrapers and will turn her attention to the inside of the trailer where she will proceed to sway along with the rocking of the trailer as they drive or, if she has a trailer buddy then she'll take to forcibly grooming them. They have no say in the matter if they want to be groomed or not, Rain will groom them anyways. She finds reassurance if she's nervous about a trip through the grooming so if she's grooming you, another horse, or her owner then you know how she's feeling.

What they do on road trips!: Austin has an unusual passion for singing. Well, trying to sing. He has a keen sense of hearing, and likes to listen to whatever is playing on the radio in the truck if the front seat area is close enough. Depending on the song, he'll nicker and whinny to it. If it's classical, he makes odd, soft chirps and low grumbles. If it's a fast-paced song, he'll huff and make quick brays. If it's screamo, guess what? He'll "scream!" He whinnies loudly and tries to make it sound right just like the song. If it's rap, he doesn't even try. Over past experiences, Austin learned that rapping is not his expertise. However, if Austin can't hear music, he makes up his own rhythm and chirps softly to himself, making sounds with whatever is around him in the trailer cart. Unfortunately, Austin came to realize that it sometimes annoys the humans in the vehicle, but he couldn't really care less.

What they do on road trips!: Ace absolutely hates road trips. He makes a fuss every time he sees the trailer and refuses to go anywhere near it. After about an hour of stable hands trying to load him, he tires himself out enough that he can be led into the trailer. Once in, he'll sleep for most of the ride but if it's a particularly long ride, he'll start kicking and biting and generally irritating his neighbors and causing trouble. As soon as he's unloaded and away from the trailer, he settles down and is back to his usual laid back attitude.
