Personality ;
Declan is a very angry guy. He has a very strict way of living with deliberate control. He is careful to put everyone in line and ensure that no one outsteps their role in the hierarchy of HIS society. He is quick to anger and reacts first then asks questions later. he is this way because he fears that if he shows any weakness to anyone he will be cast aside as a weakling. He feels like he has to live up to the expectations of himself, which are extremely high. Declan has a set of rules you must follow if you want to be his friend, He re-enforces all of them to the fullest which makes him extremely hard to get along with. Declan is not very well liked by everyone but he is very well respected. He is very dangerous when he is not in his right mind and finds himself to slip in and out of that mind set quite often. But even with his rough rugged edges he does have a soft spot for certain people, one of them being his sister. He feels responsible for taking care of her and making sure that EVERYONE respects her as much as they respect or fear him. He can be quite charming and pleasant to be around but he is never quite happy. Declan has some emotional problems and can act kind of bi-polar at times. He struggles in a normal society setting to fit in and be so called 'normal'.

Hypnophobia ;
also termed clinophobia or somniphobia, is the often
irrational and excessive fear of sleep. It may result
from a feeling of control loss, or from repeating
nightmares or anxiety over the loss of time that could
be spent accomplishing tasks or maximizing leisure
time instead of sleeping. Hypnophobia is typically
thought to have numerous symptoms which affect the
body. These symptoms can affect the patient both
physically and mentally. Many feel anxiety when
talking about the subject of sleep or even thinking
about it. Although hypnophobia is a relatively common
form of anxiety disorder it can be difficult to treat.

Apart from his rage issues and his over protective nature towards his sister Declan has major sleeping problems. He gets sleep anxiety every time he tries to fall asleep. This mental stress that presses down on him night after night makes him edgy, which is what has partially led to his short temper. He fear stalling asleep and being rendered completely helpless in his dreams. He can suffer from these episodes for weeks, sleeping only small amounts every night. This causes him to be edgy and irradiative and even erratic in his speech and actions. in his extremely sleep deprived states he is even known to hallucinate and have panic attacks. But he has managed to learn to suppress these episodes so they happen less often then they did when he was just a cub.
