Hazard Cats are felines with long limbs and robotic parts. Their tails are made of metal with some form of energy in the center that holds it together. Glass screens are installed into their chests that show the cats' health in the form of a heartbeat, glowing orb, or even something else. The color of the glow on the screen matches their eyes, which typically have hollowed pupils. Some cats have static on their screens, but beware. Those cats are as dangerous as they are rare. Grates are positioned on each of the cats' sides and aid in breathing. Depending on the cat, steam, mist, or liquid can come from these grates. They have three eyes, but the one in the center is almost always taped down or covered with a band-aid. This is done due to the hidden and sometimes dangerous powers that the third eye contains. Large eyes allow them to see in extremely low levels of light and their big ears help them hear potential prey miles away. Thanks to their strong legs, Hazard cats can reach speeds up to fifty miles per hour and leap near ten feet up.

Mitsuko Yair Ming's name rings with light, emphasising his special attire.
the (mitsu) means "light" and the (ko) means "child" in Japanese. I found this name pretty, and thought it fitted quite well as a first name for Mitsu, as he is a child of light.
(yair) means "enlighten" in Hebrew. This is just what Mistu does - he enlightens the room or darkness for everyone.
(ming) means "shining, bright, clear" in Chinese, or "engrave". I feel that this fits as a good surname because it finishes his name effectively and 'engraves' the name into someone's mind.

Personality, Tendencies and More

Mitsu is surprisingly agile, and has never before tripped over a cable cord or damaged the lampshade attached to his head, though that may be due to his slight case of OCD - everything has to be in order, and his fur has to lie just like that, and his lampshade must be at this particular degree angle... The list goes on and on. He is usually quiet, preferring to sit back and watch the moon rise rather than chase his tail in circles - last time he did that he gave himself an electric shock. However, he expresses a talent for shadow art, and can be very exuberant once he gets started cutting out intricate shapes and hosting shadow puppet shows, and is incredibly smart when it comes to working out problems or playing chess. When in social situations he sinks his head into his lampshade in vain hope of not being noticed, as he isn't very confident and lacks communication skills. Once you give him an earl grey and start chattering about shadows, he'll start to ease up and talk a bit more.
He has a mild fascination with butterflies, and once he turns on his light - as well as with the help of the flower patterns on his fur - he can attract enough to watch them for hours. His favourites are the black ones with glimmers of pink, his favourite colour.
One of his favourite hobbies is collecting flowers in his flower presser. He always gets disappointed if they dry up, so he sprays them with water every now and again, but he must be careful in case it gets into contact with his tail, chest, or forehead. He also likes to hang upside-down from beams, exploring the world from a new angle - you see, he's quite artistic - and often likes to bring his camera up with him to take photos of wildlife and barn owls.
His favourite holiday is Christmas, mainly because he gets his lightbulbs changed but also because he discovered that he had the ability to import colours using his eyes and change the colour of his bulbs so that they would glow in colours other than yellow or white after he was accidentally fitted with high-tech colour-chaning light bulbs. He thoroughly enjoys singing carols whilst prancing around pretending to be Rudolph or lighting up the house with his newly found ability. It's wonderful to see him like this, because before he was found, he was pretty much broken down - all of his bulbs were smashed, his electricity wasn't working and his fur was dull and matted, but after a few quick tweaks - for example fitting in a solar panel onto his back so that he can stay charged the whole day - he looked brand new, and slowly his confidence is returning.
He is very proud of his patterns after his initial break down, and likes to play around with making them glow in the dark.

History, Background

On a cold morning of March, a little Hazard Kitten was found lying in a kicked over rubbish can, along with all the rotting food and scrap pieces of furniture. His lampshade was shattered, his fur was dull and torn, and all of his light bulbs were broken to prevent him from seeing in the dark, so all he could do was mew pitifully as he tried to see in the dark. He was thought to be doomed for eternity, until the last dregs of his electricity completely ran out and his energy drained away, however, a kind soul brushed away the rubble and rotten food and picked him up in their arms. They took him home, fixed up his lampshade and renewed all of his lightbulbs, as well as giving him a name - Mitsuko - and adding a few tweaks to help him get back on his feet. His patterns were also re-painted, to be even more vibrant and beautiful than before, and his lightbulbs and electric tail were fitted with a water-proof setting so that he could be outside in the rain without electrocuting himself or others.
He is now very happily residing in his new home.

Special Abilities and More

¬Solar panel fitted onto back;; allows him to have more than enough energy throughout the entire day and keeps him charging the majority of the time. He can flip it the other way so that he doesn't charge, as well.
¬Changing light bulb colours;; his eyes being high-definition colour-changing LED 5W Light Bulb BC B22 GLS, which has been tampered with to allow him to import colours from his surroundings using his eyes and initiate all of his other bulbs to glow the same colour. The lamps are also WiFi connected, so if he needs a specific colour that cannot be immediately imported, he can connect up to the internet and import colours from there instead.
¬Tail;; instead of his tail being pure metal or pure rubber it is a mixture of the two, meaning that it cannot be damaged easily, and keeping the wires and electricity inside quite safe. He can also use his tail to plug himself into a socket and charge himself if there wasn't enough sunlight that day. Not only this, but if it's raining outside and he wants to explore, he has a setting which covers any parts of him that could cause electroshock in rubber.
¬Patterns;; his patterns can be used as a glow in the dark lamp, and is quite soothing at night, for all you see is pitch blackness and a wonderful array of flowers and greens.
¬Lampshade;; he can retract his lampshade into a collar and make it wider according to his will. Depending on its needs, it can serve as a torch or a wide light, so the intensity can be fiddled around with. This also proves great to be used in shadow puppet shows!

You'll have to excuse Fai, he's quite shy. I think it best I talk on his behalf here. Fai is a gentle, caring creature, who can come across as a bit jumpy. This is because the silly boy thinks he is a lamp, and that he could smash at any second! He's constantly jabbering on about his worn-out warranty. But I wouldn't change him for the world. He is into art, particularly traditional Chinese art and pottery. It gives him a way to express himself without having to talk openly to others. If there's one thing he cannot stand it's seeing lamps being left out on the street. He will do what he can to fix them up and give them to new, loving owners. It's true, the cat's worked up his own little business! He also has a particular fondness for moths. I suppose they are gentle creatures who do appreciate his light, it only makes sense that he would love them.

Darcy is not the kind of cat you'll easily get along with. He's a rather awkward fella, with
over-long legs has has no idea what to do with, a tendency to pick up fights with people
he cannot possibly beat, and is exceedingly accident prone... the lampshade in his face
doesn't help much either. As he was left to fend for himself at a young age, he is rather
loud, daring and challenging in the hopes that others will be reluctant to challenge him.
This is not his normal nature; he's a bit of a foolish young rascal, really, and and overall
troublesome sorry creature. He is typically nervous and wary of everyone and everything,
and always seems to think he's being accused of something or blamed for something and
often is found saying, without being asked; "Don't look at me! I didn't do it!" or "Not my
fault at all!". He's a bit of a misfit when it comes to other hazards his own age and prefers
to be alone overall.
Brief History:
He was born to two very noble lamps hazard cats, Marie and... Lamp. Yes, his father's name was lamp,
as he had the same amazingly bright third eye that, the second it first opened, nearly blinded his parents.
Anyways, while Marie was a good enough mom, Mr. Lamp was a bit of a distant, I'm-so-great-and-superior
kind of dad who treated his wife and son extremely formally, as though they were business partners or
something along those lines. Darcy grew up in a very serious atmosphere and, after his mom's death, his
father sent him off into the big wide world to "make a man out of him" or something, and Darcy, a bit
ashamed that his dad seemed to have a harsh opinion of him, has not seen his father since, and has yet
to fulfill his father's last wish to him... to grow up. He's still a big baby despite it all...
Favorite Lamp:
Darcy likes lamps and he can't deny it. In fact, he collects lamps.
His favorite lamp is a big, tall Victorian lamp that looks a bit like this.
Why does he wear a lampshade? WHY?!:
He... seems to think it looks fashionable, dashing and mysterious. Not only that, but it
reminds him of his namesake. And, as his third eye is awfully bright, it can contain in
the glowing of his eyes to make a sort of "flashlight" so, when he lurks about at night,
it focuses more on the area he points his head towards. However, the first time he wore
it was not intentional. He got it stick on his head!
