My Sunset Lodge long-timers Dyri and Violet have been mates for a very long time, but this might be the only baby they ever have together since Dyri has been up for stud and doesn't have many slots left. I've had this slot reserved with them both for ages but I wanted to put their only baby up for adoption to try and repay everyone for the kindness they've shown me over... however long it's been cx
That said, this baby is pretty special! If Char doesn't mind, I'd like to make this contest more of an impress me - the companion part is still welcome obviously since I love seeing tolters with companions. If char's ok with it, prettying up forms will be allowed, as will story/art and personality extras, and I'll probably be helping to judge. Since this babe is pretty special to both his/her parents and to me, I want to see just how much you guys want him! C:

Companion: Splatters companion is a great dane dog called Split. Split had been born at the same ranch as Splatter a year before to a litter of nine and while not the smallest pup in the litter he also wasn't the biggest, due to his harlequin colouration it was decided to keep him. Of course still a big, long legged pup when a smaller horse more his size appeared in one of the stalls Split couldn't get in to see what or who they were quick enough, even now the two often seen lying together when not out chasing each other around. Since the day they met they have been almost inseparable, it is a bond which few people understand.
Personality: Splatter is quite the boisterous boy who can most often be found trying to play a trick on one poor horse or another, he enjoys to test the patience of others until they try to chase him, to which he will run away until they get bored, only to repeat the cycle all over again. He is a horse who could be considered fond of his food, or more so his treats, his favourite of them all without a doubt being dog biscuits, although some would argue that the only reason for that is because he likes to steal them before his companion, Split gets them.
Habits: Splatter has developed the habit to roll everytime he gets a saddle on. It doesn't matter where they are, who is watching or if there is someone on his back, he just has the urge and need to roll around, and by doing so has destroyed more than just a few saddles, to the point that by this stage if being ridden most prefer to just ride him bareback to save themselves the hassle and expense of it all over again.

Every foal should have someone their own age to play with, these two have definitely developed a very strong bond!

Alaska's Companion

The Filly whinnied. Rumours of Jess's puppies had spread through the barn and all the horses were excited. One of the other fillies had got out and she had seen Jess with five puppies and when Jess didn't come to greet the horses like she usually did, so everyone was a bit suspicious! The owner came down and she was pretty excited too!
"Jess has had a lovely littler of puppies" the owner announced. The horses kicked their doors readily. Then soon after the German Shepherd herself trotted in with a groom behind her, holding a little cardboard box. She looked really proud of herself. Little wails were heard from the box and the horses whickered.
"Put them in the hay room" the owner said and the groom nodded and went in. Alaska, who was next door to the hay barn, neighed to her mother, who walked over and pushed the filly a bit higher so she could see the puppies as they went by. Two brown, two black and one little white. The white one was small and it was whimpering quietly. All the others squirmed and were much bigger. The filly snorted sadly. Her mother craned her neck over and then looked at Alaska with sad doe eyes. The pups were settled in a little nest of straw where they started to suckle from their mother. The runt was last to take his fill.

Months past and this white pup got stronger and stronger. People started to buy the puppies for guard dogs and barn dogs. The owner decided to keep the little white pup. One day the pup came face to face with a horse the first time properly. He was feeling sad. All his siblings had left him and he had no one to play with. The Alaska snorted to the dog and brought him over.
"hi" she neighed to him. He greeted her back.
"my name is Alaska" she said.
"I am Snowy" the blue eyed brute said.
The filly pranced and the dog jumped with her. They played all day and since that moment they go everywhere together.
