Sorrel sunk to her dirt covered belly. She was cramped in a muddy crate with moldy food and dusty water. Her throat burned but she wouldn't drink that water. She didn't know where she was, but she was constantly thrown about, crying in pain for what could feel like hours. One day, a ray of light burst into the area Sorrel was in. A man's silhouette stood erect above me. His rough voice growled," This dog was posed' to win us that thousand dollar prize. All she won us was dishonor. She ain't a use for us." A second man's voice said," We ain't to own her, but I don't wanna pay the fee to give her to a shelter." The two talked for a moment. One came in, staring at me. Every once in a while, he would scowl and look for the other man, who eventually returned, holding a beaker, with gloves on. They lead her out of her crate onto a barren piece of land, and poured the beaker's liquid in Sorrel's eyes. She saw a gold liquid flow out and when it made contact, she started to scream. It dripped down her face and her fur started falling out in tufts. Her skin blistered and cracked and she fell to her side, whimpering, her eyes shut tightly.
Two hours later
The man's daughter, Ella, drove by her father's house for a visit. She loved all animals, and wanted to visit her favorite dog, Sorrel. She knocked on the door and her father's friend answered. "Can I see Sorrel?" Ella asked. He answered," We ridded of her today, come on in." Ella gasped, but followed. Ella, he father, and her father's friend ate lunch at the table. None of them made a sound, until Ella started to gag on her sandwich." I think I need to go outside," she muttered. Her father protested but Ella rushed outside. When she went outside, she heard a faint whimper. It sounded like Sorrel. Ella called for Sorrel, and the whimpering increased. Ella sprinted towards the sound, and saw a unmoving object behind a bramble bush. Sorrel looked horrible, and a waxy gold substance was all over her face and chest. Fur was falling out and her eyes where shut. Ella flipped open her cellphone and called animal control. Sorrel was rushed to a hospital and unfortunately, Ella couldn't adopt her, but instead, told I,Galaxy~Nova, to adopt her. And that's Sorrel's known history.
Fun Facts
Sorrel is blind in her left eye, it received the most acid.
Sorrel has been afraid of deep bodies of water, since the acid was poured on her.
She is one of the only dogs allowed outside of the kennel.
Her favorite dog in her team is Minnie.
If she is left alone too much, she will start to howl and whine.

Greatest fear: Because the acid poured on her eyes were shiny and waxy, she is afraid of really shiny items, such as ciquains, fireworks, and sparks. She will back up and growl, bark, or whimper if she happens to see a sparkly object.
Favorite food: Her favorite food is grilled chicken wing. Her mushers were grilling their wings. One musher got up to get some Coke and Sorrel toke this as her moment of victory. She was on a strict diet of no human food, even though the last time she had tasted this type of food was over a year ago. She sniffed the wing, no one noticing in the dim light and the fact that they were too busy talking. She grabbed the wing, and the returning musher yelled loudly. The wild chase began, Sorrel enjoying being the center of attention. She soon gobbled the meat part down, but the bone, fortunately was taken from her.

Sorrel cowered behind me. She still wore a cone from her last visit at the vet. Now, three excited, wild dogs were yapping at her from behind a wire mesh. She eventually stepped out from behind me, sniffing noses with a dog. That dog was Minnie. Sorrel relaxed at once and sniffed all the other dogs. Rocky started to howl and Sorrel rushed back behind my legs, tail tucked. I laughed, then started to pet her. After I finnally got her to relax, I led her to her kennel. It was a duplicate of the others, except that this one was a little bigger and closer to my house. I nudged her in, but she refused to go. After some time of pushing and chasing, I finally got her into her crate. I went into my house for a glass of water, but when I came back, Sorrel was howling very loudly. She pawed at the wire, and I worried that she would catch a claw on the wire, so I hurried and let her out. She bounded out and pranced happily.
"Well, it looks like you aren't going to be a kennel dog," I said, laughing. As if to prove my point, Sorrel spun around, snapping at her tail. She looked at me and I looked at her. She was one special dog.
