For this competition tell me exactly how they manage to do this? as in Where? Why? How?!

I have lived nearby a lake ever since I can remember. When I was very young,
I became quite fascinated with how the sun's rays reflected off the water,
and how when I looked into the water I could see my reflection and the sky.
One day, I fell in. I fell from a fairly large rock "cliff" into a part of the water which
was deeper than I could stand in. I knew how to swim, but in that momentary shock
my paws were useless. As I was struggling to stay afloat, two young otters came to me
and started nudging me with their little noses. I regained my balance and swam towards
the shore, the two little otters still following me. As I reached the shore, I scampered
back towards my mother and father who had rushed outside, I told them that two otters
had saved me! The next day I returned to the lake and the otter came and greeted me.
We became fast friends and spent much time together frolicking in the water.
Once I realized how even more amazing the water was than I had imagined, nobody could
pull me away from it. I spent all my spare time learning tricks, diving, and just playing.
For me, it was heaven.
There is a secret cave I found one day, and I often go down there. I have a water-proof
pocket watch my parents gave me one year, and it is extremely helpful to keep track of
time down in the cave. Also, I have found that playing lulling music will attract and calm
the more wild creatures in the lake. I hope to one day document all of the creatures I have
encountered in my adventures.
