Story:
Ariadne stopped at the door to listen to her boss.
"Ariadne, if you want to keep working here, you must learn to stop tripping over yourself, because it slows progress down! Don't come back until you find a solution!" Ariadne nodded shortly, and left the restaurant. That was the third job that week where they had kicked her out because of her clumsiness. She knew it was just related to her species, and she loved her 'flaw', but nobody except Ciotach Deer really understood that. She had tried over and over again to keep a decent job, but to no avail. Besides, the only job she really wanted to do, and was actually good at was weaving, and she had no luck in finding a job in that category.
As Ariadne walked home, she tripped over an old fox holding groceries, spilling them in the process. " I am very sorry sir!" She said as she helped him pick up the spilled items, "Is there anything else I can do?" The old fox looked at her, and being a kindhearted fox, he replied, "No miss, there's nothing you can do for me," Ariadne started to protest, but he held up a hand and she quieted, "Though, I see that you are troubled by something, can you tell me what it is?" Ariadne sighed, and answered him, "I really just want to weave, but there are not any weaving businesses in the village." The fox had lived in the village for a very long time, and made it his duty to keep up with the current news. "There is a vacant building by the bakery. It used to be a hardware store, so there are lots of shelves, which would be good to hold blankets and shawls that you weave. There's also a small bedroom above it, so you could live there as well." He didn't wait for the stunned girl to reply, just tipped his hat at her and went on his way.
As soon as he was gone, Ariadne headed toward the bakery, not really believing what the fox had said, but hoping that it was true anyway. When she got to the bakery, she saw that the fox had been telling the truth. She went into the bakery, and asked the baker there how much it would be to buy the building next door, and he said that it was 100 crowns. Ariadne gave him the money, even though it was almost all of her savings. She then went into the fabric and thread store, and used up the rest of her money buying materials.
Ariadne set up shop in the little village, and is now selling her beautiful floral creations. The End.
I don't know if I was allowed to create an extra, but I really just needed to write it down... Good Luck to everyone!
