Dropping out. I genuinely thought that I was going to go through with this, but after seeing others who have so much dedication and love for this bean, I can't force myself to compete against them. I'm sorry for taking up space. This is truly a gorgeous bean.

Good luck to those few who are already putting their 100% into their forms. I'm rooting for you all. <3

Pluto's Corner

Postby ~Static~ » Sun Oct 19, 2014 5:04 am

╔═════════════╗
Hi, I'm ~Static~, a
current non-owner.
When I first saw this
bean, he reminded me
so much of myself that
I had to try for him. I
have an account on
the fanclub, and I would
definitely be active
with Pluto if I won. <3

How he got to the orphanage wrote:Pluto sat quietly under the bridge. Snow
danced toward the ground around him, beginning
to pile up. Red and green lights were strewn
around shops, and on tall, bushy trees, shimmering
in the distance. He curled up in a tight ball. His
fur may have offered some protection from the
cold, but no one could be warm, out on the street,
in the dark, lonely cold. The coldest
part of him was his heart. He had been alone
for so long. He had known the pain of
abandonment. It wasn't hard for him to believe
that whoever was in charge of miracles, seemed
to have forgotten him.
He barely moved as the woman appeared, carrying
a large cardboard box, and scanning her snowy
surroundings. Each breath Pluto drew was shaky,
casting a cloud of fog into the still air. The woman
approached him with a warm smile, and before he
could stand to run she had gently placed him in the
box.
Pluto looked around him. He had been set on a soft,
pink blanket, which seemingly emanated warmth.
The woman looked down at him. She had blonde
hair which fell over her shoulders, and green eyes.
Everything about her seemed comforting. As she
walked, she spoke to him in a soft voice.
"We find too many of you down here... What a
lucky guy. I guess Christmas miracles really do
exist, at least for you." She said, as they were
coming up on a small building. It's windows
glowed with a warm yellow light, and they were
hit with a blast of warmth as they entered. Many
young beans scittered across the floor, laughing,
and a few other men and women sat on a couch
in front of the fireplace, sipping mugs of hot
chocolate. The blonde haired woman set down the
box, and Pluto peered inquisitively over the edge.
After a few moments, he jumped out of the box,
and gravitated towards the flickering fireplace. He
stretched out in front of it, rolling on his side. So
that's what this day was- ...Christmas.

Pluto's beginnings wrote:Pluto tugged at the collar which was
clipped around his neck, then glanced to
the ring on his tail. Why had he been
given these items? He glanced around. It
was dark, and some snow littered the
ground. He crawled out of the box which
he had been in, shook the last bit of
eggshell from his head, And set off in a
random direction. Little did he know, he
would be doing that a lot in his future.
Blazing a new path, alone.

Pluto is a young bean. He is quiet, and reserved, and while he may seem antisocial or shy, he just tends to keep to himself. He is quite attached to the orphanage where he grew up, so he had a very hard time trying to find an owner. He's seen most of his friends leave, and decided that he should move on. His only memory of his parents was when they left him. The only thing that he had was his necklace. He doesn't know if it's supposed to symbolize anything, but he would never part with it, protesting when anyone tries to remove it. He is polite and obedient, and even though he wishes he was tougher, he's quite a pushover. Pluto is very independent, mostly because he took care of himself for a portion of his life. It's quite a task to get him to trust you but once you do he loves to spend time with you. He loves cuddling on anyone's lap, and even though he's independent, he loves to be spoiled. He's one of the oldest beans in the orphanage, but he's still a kid at heart. Pluto is an avid artist, and instead of actually creating any recognizable shapes, he almost always uses blue paint and scatters it randomly across the canvas. He particularly likes making long streaks of color, or textures.

Relationship with Aria;;

Pluto's best friend is Aria. Although she's slightly too energetic for him to keep up with, he's just as, if not more, curious than her. Pluto loves how creative Aria is, and shows her his paintings a lot. He doesn't mind how much she talks, and although he's not very talkative himself, he's a great listener and nearly never ignores her, even when she's on a tangent. If they're doing something potentially dangerous, Aria will always be the one to drag him along with her. Pluto ignores insults, they just bounce off of him like he's made of steel. But he knows his friend isn't the same way. He's always there to make her feel better when she needs it, sometimes more in just being there than with comforting words.
Pluto met Aria while he was outside one day, and ever since she'd come to visit him at the orphanage. As far as Pluto's concerned, they'll never part.

----------BASICS----------
Name: This young girl's name is Shinobu ( 忍 ), but she goes by the name Ryuu ( 竜 ). Ryuu is a male name and it means "dragon" in Japanese, therefor, this name makes Shinobu seem manly and gives her confidence that no one will doubt her. Shinobu means "endurance", based on her backstory this 'true name' of hers makes sense. Ryuu hates her real name and it is one of her darkest secrets, she has never told a soul about it.

Gender: Ryuu is a female

Age: 12 years

Personality:
Ryuu is very rough. She never sugar-coats anything and has a very foul temper. Her face is almost in a permanent scowl, like there are no other expressions, she is hollow on the inside. Whenever Ryuu gets angry she has a tendancy to scare others around her as she shouts and claws at those who angered her. Ryuu doesn't have any friends, however she does not seem to be lonely in any way at all, more like she despises contact with others more than anything else in the world. Ryuu is cold towards others as though the term "opening up to someone" doesn't exist within her dictionary. There is nothing that can scare her, she is fearless and heartless, dead to others in every way. But she couldn't care less.

Sexuality: straight (might change, it just depends on who the perfect bean for her is)

----------DETAILS----------

Outward appearance: Ryuu is very large for her age, giving her the look of a teen at first glance. Her tongue and flame color are the same as her eyes. Ryuu is very coordinated even with her body abnormally large. She is very lithe and light on her feet, her limbs are long and flexible; giving her the appearance of a large cat. Her tail is long as well, very useful for balancing. Her fur is short but long in some spots, it is sleek and seems to shine. The long tufts of fur are spiked naturally giving her an ominous and almost scary appearance. All of this adds up to another reason why she is always alone, Ryuu's looks match almost too perfectly with her "I don't care about you" personality.

History: Ryuu has had an awful childhood which led up to the way that she acts and treats others now. Her history will be portrayed in a story.

The little bean blinked as her eyes opened for the first time. She looked up at the figure that held her closely. It was her mother. A shadow of another bean entered the corner of her vision as she was handed to a much more rough pair of arms. This sudden transfer would usually send a newborn into tears, but she stayed quiet. The sounds of the cooing and gentle voices rung sweetly in her ears as she was passed back into her mother's arms. Even though she couldn't understand what they were saying at the time, her large ears picked up the words that her parents' spoke.
"She is so beautiful my darling..." said a sweet voice, the soothing voice of a mother.
"Yes she is. Just as beautiful as you." said a gruffer voice that in which belonged to her father.
"What should we call her?" her mother asked.
"I'm thinking something strong, something that will hold her up in times of difficulty." said her father.
"What about... Shinobu?"
"Hmm.. Shinobu..." her said as though testing the word to see how it felt, "that's perfect. It means "endurance" right?"
"Yes, of course, my little Shinobu." the small bean looked up, her mother was smiling. She didn't get why or what it meant but if felt right. As though everything were going to be perfect from now on.
Shinobu the little bean thought to herself, how beautiful...

-three years later-
Shinobu grinned as she awoke from her bed. Her curtains were wide open and the sun shone on her bed as she lay there. It's going to be another perfect day today! she thought as she threw off the covers and headed to the kitchen to eat. As she entered the small and brightly painted kitchen her mother turned to look up at her from the sink full of dishes, a smile coming across her face. "Good morning Sweety!" She wiped her hands on her apron and pulled Shinobu closer to give her a kiss on the forehead. Warmth spread throughout the small bean as she giggled and greeted her mother. "Your breakfast is ready, right on the table." Said her mother as she gestured to the spot on the table that Shinobu always sat at.
"Thanks Momma!" Shinobu chirped as she climbed up on the chair. She quickly gulped down her breakfast. "I'm going out now Mamma!" She called as she headed towards the door.
Her mother smiled "Alright dear, be careful and don't stray too far from the house!" She called out to her daughter. Knowing that she had been heard, she continued to wash the dishes.
Shinobu stepped outside of the house and blinked her eyes at the eye-blinding light of the sunny fields that surrounded their house. She ran off into the fields to play with the the flowers and other things that she could find. This continued well into the afternoon.

As soon as it started to get dark, Shinobu realized she was getting hungry and that her mother might be worried because she hadn't come home for lunch. She headed off towards the house with the flower necklace that she had just made still in hand.
When Shinobu reached her home she saw her father's car parked in the driveway. "Daddy's home!" She shouted while sprinting to get to the house. Shinobu reached for the door with a smile spread across her face, she couldn't wait to show the crown to her mother and father. The door finally clicked open and Shinobu stepped inside. She ran into the kitchen where her mother should have still been. "She must be in the living room..." Shinobu thought out loud. Without another moment of hesitation she headed for the living room. Shinobu ran around the corner and started to hear sobbing. The smile quickly faded from her face and the flower crown escaped her grasp as she looked at her mother's face. It was stained with tears and her hand covered her mouth. "Mamma?" Shinobu asked. Her father quickly turned to look at Shinobu, he had been facing mother the whole time. He walked over to her and picked her up.
"It's going to be okay alright? Everything is going to be fine. We just ran into a little bit of trouble with some people we shouldn't have involved ourselves with." He hugged her tightly. "Now go to your room and take only what you need. Put in your bag and meet us by the door alright? Do it as quickly as you can." His tone sounded urgent as he spoke, Shinobu nodded when he set her down and ran into her room. She grabbed her backpack and started to stuff things in it.
"Let's see, my compass, map, water bottle, snacks, stuffed animal, change of clothes, blanket, jacket... umm.. what else?" Shinobu's eyes scanned the room for anything else she might need. Her gaze settled on the photo of her and her mother and father. She thought about it for a moment before stuffing it into her bag and heading down the stairs. She reached the front door and was greeted with a hug from her mother. She was swiftly lifted into the air as her mother picked her up. Her father had been peeking out of the window on the front door and he motioned to them, as though telling them is was clear.

Name: Estrella

Gender: Female

Backstory:
A few dozen miles away from a once busy and bustling city, there was a large metal power plant. Radioactive chemicals roamed freely in the surrounding area and smoke filled the air. This was a very hazardous nuclear power plant, and it was where Estrella grew up. Her parents were forced to flee from the comfort of their old home due to a terrorist attack, and this area was the only one away from the humans they had grown to fear. Estrella still remembers the horrible smell of the toxic waste and how hard it was to see through the smoke. Huge tower-like structures were belching gases, and there was little vegetation for miles around. Estrella and her parents had to hide from the few workers and eventually began to eat the scraps of food they left behind. Some of the food had picked up toxins from the machines and Estrella's parents became very sick. Their fur and nails slowly changed colors, going from their original to a neon blue, and from that neon to a dead green. The young bean had sat and watched tearfully as her parents slowly passed away, having to suffer from the effects of the poisons. It was then when she made her decision. At that point she didn't care what would happen; she wanted to avenge her parents. From sunrise to sunset she carefully constructed her plan.

Once the moon rose above the horizon and cast its shimmering light across the visible land she got to work. Sneaking in through an unlocked door in the side of the control building (the workers were rather lazy and seemed to always be drunk) she hid under a weak wooden desk. It was falling apart and she could hear one of the legs creak every so often. Looking around, Estrella checked for any sign of life in the room. Seeing none, not even the leaf of a plant, she slowly edged her way over to a rusted metal grate in the floor. By looking at it she could tell it had been there for quite a while, and it reeked of beer. Estrella cautiously put her paw on it, but she wasn't careful enough. With a loud, blood chilling shriek she fell in. Her eyes were full of signs of loss as they opened wide. Down into the shadows the young bean fell, coughing and sputtering wildly. Dust went flying as she hit a hard, cold surface. Estrella tried to get up but she quickly slipped and fell, hurting one of her ankles. The floor underneath her was smooth and unyielding, making it hard to get a grip with her claws. As she was holding her ankle in pain she felt herself sliding backwards, causing her to jump and try to run in the other direction in a panic. With nothing to grab onto and the slope beginning to turn even faster, Estrella curled up and whimpered a quick and sorrowful, "Goodbye, world," before falling into a smoke filled abyss. The gas around her seemed to burn into her lightly colored fur before making her gasp in pain when it suddenly touched her skin. Her eyes were closed, but it didn't make that much of a difference on the positive side of things; all she would have seen would have been a very dark grey and her eyes would have burned by the gas' cruel touch. Some of her fur began to darken and there were strands of neon blue that decorated it. Suddenly time seemed to stop, for the gases around her overheated and soon the power plant was up in flames (she later learned that some of the fur from her parents' bodies got caught on something in the cooling system).
The wooden furniture burned bright reds and blues and the metals practically turned as red as a tomato. Estrella heard the loud bang of an explosion before she went flying into the air. What she saw made her heart break and her mind forever paranoid; everything in sight was either in flames or was a bright red, and the bodies of dead humans who had tried to put out the fire littered the ground. All sense was lost to Estrella, and she just stared at what she had done. As the smoke started to clear she could see various pieces of metal and other debris covering the land below her. She continued to fall, gravity pulling her down forcefully, as if it was aggravated. The bean closed her eyes, curled up and whimpered, waiting for the impact she knew would come to end her misery. Finally it came, knocking her out cold. She was later found and picked up by a news reporter who gave her to a vet, who slowly nursed her back to relatively good health. Once Estrella was ready to leave the vet she was given to the orphanage, where she continued her life.

Personality:
Estrella seems like a calm leader at first, but in reality she is very paranoid. Due to the harsh surroundings she had to put up with when she was younger she has become strong and intelligent. The vet who helped her recover also helped her overcome her fright of humans.
