----------BASICS----------
Name: This young girl's name is Shinobu ( 忍 ), but she goes by the name Ryuu ( 竜 ). Ryuu is a male name and it means "dragon" in Japanese, therefor, this name makes Shinobu seem manly and gives her confidence that no one will doubt her. Shinobu means "endurance", based on her backstory this 'true name' of hers makes sense. Ryuu hates her real name and it is one of her darkest secrets, she has never told a soul about it.
Gender: Ryuu is a female
Age: 12 years
Personality:
Ryuu is very rough. She never sugar-coats anything and has a very foul temper. Her face is almost in a permanent scowl, like there are no other expressions, she is hollow on the inside. Whenever Ryuu gets angry she has a tendancy to scare others around her as she shouts and claws at those who angered her. Ryuu doesn't have any friends, however she does not seem to be lonely in any way at all, more like she despises contact with others more than anything else in the world. Ryuu is cold towards others as though the term "opening up to someone" doesn't exist within her dictionary. There is nothing that can scare her, she is fearless and heartless, dead to others in every way. But she couldn't care less.
Sexuality: straight (might change, it just depends on who the perfect bean for her is)
----------DETAILS----------
Outward appearance: Ryuu is very large for her age, giving her the look of a teen at first glance. Her tongue and flame color are the same as her eyes. Ryuu is very coordinated even with her body abnormally large. She is very lithe and light on her feet, her limbs are long and flexible; giving her the appearance of a large cat. Her tail is long as well, very useful for balancing. Her fur is short but long in some spots, it is sleek and seems to shine. The long tufts of fur are spiked naturally giving her an ominous and almost scary appearance. All of this adds up to another reason why she is always alone, Ryuu's looks match almost too perfectly with her "I don't care about you" personality.
History: Ryuu has had an awful childhood which led up to the way that she acts and treats others now. Her history will be portrayed in a story.
The little bean blinked as her eyes opened for the first time. She looked up at the figure that held her closely. It was her mother. A shadow of another bean entered the corner of her vision as she was handed to a much more rough pair of arms. This sudden transfer would usually send a newborn into tears, but she stayed quiet. The sounds of the cooing and gentle voices rung sweetly in her ears as she was passed back into her mother's arms. Even though she couldn't understand what they were saying at the time, her large ears picked up the words that her parents' spoke.
"She is so beautiful my darling..." said a sweet voice, the soothing voice of a mother.
"Yes she is. Just as beautiful as you." said a gruffer voice that in which belonged to her father.
"What should we call her?" her mother asked.
"I'm thinking something strong, something that will hold her up in times of difficulty." said her father.
"What about... Shinobu?"
"Hmm.. Shinobu..." her said as though testing the word to see how it felt, "that's perfect. It means "endurance" right?"
"Yes, of course, my little Shinobu." the small bean looked up, her mother was smiling. She didn't get why or what it meant but if felt right. As though everything were going to be perfect from now on.
Shinobu the little bean thought to herself, how beautiful...
-three years later-
Shinobu grinned as she awoke from her bed. Her curtains were wide open and the sun shone on her bed as she lay there. It's going to be another perfect day today! she thought as she threw off the covers and headed to the kitchen to eat. As she entered the small and brightly painted kitchen her mother turned to look up at her from the sink full of dishes, a smile coming across her face. "Good morning Sweety!" She wiped her hands on her apron and pulled Shinobu closer to give her a kiss on the forehead. Warmth spread throughout the small bean as she giggled and greeted her mother. "Your breakfast is ready, right on the table." Said her mother as she gestured to the spot on the table that Shinobu always sat at.
"Thanks Momma!" Shinobu chirped as she climbed up on the chair. She quickly gulped down her breakfast. "I'm going out now Mamma!" She called as she headed towards the door.
Her mother smiled "Alright dear, be careful and don't stray too far from the house!" She called out to her daughter. Knowing that she had been heard, she continued to wash the dishes.
Shinobu stepped outside of the house and blinked her eyes at the eye-blinding light of the sunny fields that surrounded their house. She ran off into the fields to play with the the flowers and other things that she could find. This continued well into the afternoon.
As soon as it started to get dark, Shinobu realized she was getting hungry and that her mother might be worried because she hadn't come home for lunch. She headed off towards the house with the flower necklace that she had just made still in hand.
When Shinobu reached her home she saw her father's car parked in the driveway. "Daddy's home!" She shouted while sprinting to get to the house. Shinobu reached for the door with a smile spread across her face, she couldn't wait to show the crown to her mother and father. The door finally clicked open and Shinobu stepped inside. She ran into the kitchen where her mother should have still been. "She must be in the living room..." Shinobu thought out loud. Without another moment of hesitation she headed for the living room. Shinobu ran around the corner and started to hear sobbing. The smile quickly faded from her face and the flower crown escaped her grasp as she looked at her mother's face. It was stained with tears and her hand covered her mouth. "Mamma?" Shinobu asked. Her father quickly turned to look at Shinobu, he had been facing mother the whole time. He walked over to her and picked her up.
"It's going to be okay alright? Everything is going to be fine. We just ran into a little bit of trouble with some people we shouldn't have involved ourselves with." He hugged her tightly. "Now go to your room and take only what you need. Put in your bag and meet us by the door alright? Do it as quickly as you can." His tone sounded urgent as he spoke, Shinobu nodded when he set her down and ran into her room. She grabbed her backpack and started to stuff things in it.
"Let's see, my compass, map, water bottle, snacks, stuffed animal, change of clothes, blanket, jacket... umm.. what else?" Shinobu's eyes scanned the room for anything else she might need. Her gaze settled on the photo of her and her mother and father. She thought about it for a moment before stuffing it into her bag and heading down the stairs. She reached the front door and was greeted with a hug from her mother. She was swiftly lifted into the air as her mother picked her up. Her father had been peeking out of the window on the front door and he motioned to them, as though telling them is was clear.
