Answer: Above all else, Sab is afraid of the sound of trees in the wind. The awful creaking from the spindly branches makes her hackles stand on end and fills her with the ominous feeling that they may come crashing down at any moment; and the rough crrrtch of the bark fragments rubbing together gives the poor mare chills. If she beds among trees, Sabaren often finds that she cannot sleep at all for the sounds that keep her awake, shuddering, into the wee hours of the night, so she rarely sleeps even remotely near trees at all.

Answer: It's painfully sad that Cricket is most afraid of cricket's chirping. She fears one day she'll hear the sound in the waking world as well.

Answer: The sound that frightens Tuoni the most is the thumping beat of her own heart. Being a bit of a dabbler, or rather a believer, in necromancy, Tuo finds the ba-bump oddly creepy and unnatural. She is well aware of the fact that her heart is needed to keep her alive, yet the sound of it reminds her of the scarlet and very living blood that flows within her, and dwelling on such topics makes her flanks shiver in fear.
