◆◇ Personality ◇◆
Alvise is a grave digger, living in a small space next to a graveyard itself. He "works" mainly for this particular one,
but is subject from moving place to place. Now, many who are around death and sadness all day can only maintain
their own happiness and optimism for so long; Alvise is one of those who're in a whole different category.
Despite his life revolving around such depressing things, his mindset is still in the stars. He's intensely fascinated by magic,
and even though he knows he's performing for empty chairs, he still engages himself in the practice. He hasn't
restricted himself to card tricks and such; he tries to accomplish magic only dreamed of, no matter how long he strays
away from the rest of the world to practice. This also falls into his love for art itself; magic is a form of art, as well.
When he's not trying to balance his magic acts in between his shifts, he has another hobby that he juggles as well; mask
painting. Another love of his is masks, as well as an affinity for colorful, intricate, patterned designs. So when you put
the two together, you have him hidden away in his burrow yet again, constantly trying to improve his brushstrokes and
learn the different techniques of using inks, oils, and paints to recreate different styles of religious and cultural artwork.
He's the most fascinated by the Bolivian culture and art, and the Carnaval de Oruro and the Oruro Diablada designs and
dances are the most prominent basis for his works. [Ancient history is also a strong basis].
The last [but, as a common line goes, certainly not least] major interest of his is Gods and Goddesses, which again falls
into his cultural and religious studies. While the most popular are the Greek figures, he finds himself partial to the Hindu
figures, as well as their shared belief of reincarnation with Buddhism. [Reincarnation is a subject he's still undecided on
how he stands on, but being in a graveyard for large amounts of time occasionally brings the subject back to him].
Aside from his deeper interests, other various interests, and head-in-the-stars mindset, one can fine Alvise quite different
on the outside. It's required, out of respect as well as his own feelings, to have a solemn mood and air about him. While he's
found to be quite lively and enthusiastic when truly known, he's very reserved to the rest of the world. He doesn't show his
feelings very well, and interacting with others can prove to be rather difficult [many think to avoid him, due to his job], so
he's seldom found in the presence of another.
Other than his solemn and reserved personality, he's laidback with the passion to only do things he wants, rather than
constantly molding his actions to please others, especially if he's really not happy about doing it on the inside. If one
approaches him, he can engage in a conversation, even though it may seem a bit blank and emotionless.
