oUsername:
oHi, I'm Adalgisa! I am an active member on
othe fanclub and am the owner of two much
oloved female foxers, Drizzle and Fayette <3
I really love this boy's design and instantly
ogot tons of ideas about his character
o when I saw him, thanks for this opportunity!
oName:
oI would name this fiery boy Calcifer Tar
oRosewood after the fire demon "Calcifer" in
omy forever favorite movie, "Howl's Moving
oCastle". Rosewood is already Rouge's last
oname so I kept that and "Tar" just sounds
orather manly doesn't it?
oAge:
o21, same as Rouge

Talent:
Calcifer's Talent is the use of weapons involving
fire, particularly knives. This includes both the
forging of knives and the use of knives~especially
when they're lit on fire. He can also "eat" flaming
knives and frequently does so to earn extra cash.
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
personality:
patient - only when performing, spitfire, angered
easily, has a hard time with paternal emotional
relationships, seeks happiness in the world.

Mother:
Cal and Rouge's mother died when they were very young, so he doesn't remember anything about her except the smell of her rose water perfume.
Father:
Their father's disappearance had a large impact
on Calcifer's life and was the tipping point that made
him who he now is today.
Sister - Rouge:

Calcifer is the exact opposite of his sister and not only in color contrast (orange v.s blue haha). This is both why he loves and understands her unconditionally and finds her incredibly infuriating at times. He thinks that she has a similar view towards him, even though, he knows, he can be way more annoying than she ever is. It is in his nature to talk back and say whatever pops into his head, and is why he was always in some kind of trouble when they were younger.
Although they are the same age Calcifer has always looked up to Rouge as the more mature twin, which makes it that much funnier to him that he always calls her his "little sis". This is, as expected, usually not well received. He jokes about this to take away the pain of the guilt he feels when it comes to his sister. He thinks that it is his fault that Rouge is always trying to appear sophisticated and elegant all of the time. When their father disappeared Calcifer had a hard time coping with it. To make up for his father being, in his young mind, "stolen" from him he began to steel on the street. Just little things, from people he thought deserved it, like Robinhood did. This caused him to get into a lot of bad situations. His explosive temper didn't help, especially when he was outnumbered, and Rouge would have to come help him get out of whatever bind he found himself in.
By the time he was a teen he had gravitated away from petty theft, left behind his Robinhood-istic ideals and turned to street fighting. Unfortunately he was a small teenager and rarely won, offering up money that he didn't have. His opponents had to be swayed from doing him further damage when they realized he wasn't good for his money, and this job fell to Rouge. Always having been protective of her twin she became his verbal shield against anyone who came at him. Calcifer always teased her about being his protector, but secretly he loves how overprotective she is. He sees jokes as the only way to talk about his past because he is so ashamed by what he put his sister through and rarely talks about it. He tries to make up for it by being her protector in return.
What Does He Think Of Maple?:
Cal loves how much Rouge and Maple obviously adore each other. He loves how his sister can be herself around Maple and treats Maple like part of the family.
Ħoω Ɖι∂ Ħe Ǥeт Ħιs Cнαrm? :
Calcifer got his charm later in his teens when he realized that he wasn't helping anyone in his life as a street fighter. He loved it, but he wasn't contributing to the world in a way that he wanted. Seeking a Talent that would help people he went to college courses about science, to see if he could be a doctor. But he didn't enjoy it. He feared that he'd never find a Talent by adulthood when one day a group of performers came to the hospital to cheer up the sickly patients. Seeing the joy brought out by the performers in the patients' faces Cal dropped out of college and joined the group. He quickly found that his Talent lay in a mix of the fighting that he loved and the fiery performance that was loved by the crowd.
One day the troupe went to the same hospital that Calcifer used to work in. There he met the most beautiful foxer he'd ever seen. She was in hospice with a rare terminal disease but he couldn't help falling in love with her. She was so full of warmth and calm serenity exuded from her every word. She was never angry and never feared dying. She was older and already had her charm and Talent. She had been a glassblower, her Talent being that she made delicately intricate glass pieces. He was angry in her place, but knew that eventually he would have to let her go. They hadn't known each other for very long, but time doesn't matter, until there's not much left. On her last day she gave him a gift. A small hand blown glass flame. It danced in the light as if real fire burned within it. It was the last time he ever saw her but he never forgot her and wears her gift by his heart as his charm.
