They have been around since the beginning of time. They were formed from the Big Bang, and because of the massive amount of energy that they were surrounded by daily they live off of that energy. Wild sun stars do not use the energy of anything that is living, they consume stars, and on rare occasions suns. They are a hyper intelligent creature and rely on telepathy in order to communicate.
Domesticated Sun Stars live on planets and can gain their energy from sources such as water, heat, oil, plants and even spirits of animals or humans. The stars found on their heads show what energy is best for them. They can survive off of any type of energy however, but just like a car runs best on gas, gas sun stars are happiest with gas like energies.
Star Gems
When a SSW is born, their star gem and tongue is black. This is because they will absorb any energy their mother/father parent, any other SSW, or other entity can give to them. As time goes on though, and they hit an older stage and can move and find their own energy sources, their tongue and gem will take on the glow of the first contact of the 'correct' energy source that is to supply them for the rest of their days. Hence forth, when your SSW proceeds to lick anything, including you, it will leave a lovely glowing trail behind. Each Color of Gem represents their energy source, defined below.
This Sun Star's Gem is Blue
Blue
These SSW's consume only water and steam, yet wont mind the occasional watermelon or other juicy delight.

SSW Name: Russet
Background: When he was born, Russet's mother abandoned him by an ocean. Once his eyes opened, the sea's beauty swept over him. Now, he was a rather vain and arrogant pup with no mother to scold him for such things. Young Russet believed that if he began to consume the sea its beauty would influence his own. So he lived by the shore most of his time, only leaving when absolutely necessary. His vanity and arrogance had yet to leave him. One fateful day, a colossal tsunami hit the mainland, destroying the shoreline along with Russet's den. He was devastated by his great loss. "Where have I to go?" he pondered. "I have no friends and no mate to call my own". And so he wandered aimlessly, searching for another place to reside. But he soon discovered there was no place like his beach den and collapsed in a heap of fur and sorrow. He wept and wept and wept for days. Then, a lovely Sun Star she-wolf came up beside him. She nuzzled his side curiously. "Why do you cry, my good wolf?". "I have lost my life-long home and have no friend or mate to confide in or aid me in my search!" sobbed poor Russet. The she-wolf smiled sympathetically and helped him up to all fours. "Then I shall be your friend and we shall travel tirelessly until we have found a new home". Russet dried his eyes and looked at the gem upon his new companion's head. It was blue, just like his. "I am called Russet. Who are you?" he asked his new friend. "My name is Vapor." she answered. Russet dipped his head to her and so they traveled on, searching for a place to call home.
(Vapor is my SSW and I wanted to include her in this. Also, it says in the post that his gem is blue but it shows green in his picture. Can I ask which one is true?)
