Case Number 149- The Case of the Broken Heart wrote:
You could say I've been blessed with an ability for finding anything, and I suppose that's pretty accurate. My name is Sirius, and my talent appears to be finding just about anything. Missing picture? Right here. Dangerous formula? In your pocket. Because of this, I tend to be asked about where things are, mostly from other Flox and humans, to the point that some have started to call me a detective. Most requests were simple, and I could accomplish them with ease. Today, that was not the case.
"I need you to find my broken heart, Floc." That was the request, coming from a human who was already accompanied by a female Floc. Perplexed, I asked telepathically what the problem was. A curt response came from the Floc.
She already told you, silly. She needs her heart found. Although the words were scathing, there appeared to be little expression left in the Floc's tone. Perhaps the duo was depressed, judging by the question.
Where did you last leave with your heart? I inquired, frowning slightly. The human responded in a worried tone.
"I'm not sure, actually. I heard there was a Floc who could find things, so I came here, hoping you could help me." She replied. Hmm. I thought, racking my brain for an answer. Maybe she left it in a cave. Caves are dark, lonely places.
She's only been here, a store and the woods so far today. The other Floc answered. At least, that's what I remember. She might have visited a cave earlier. She communicated thoughtfully. It must be a cave then. I told her, nodding to her key bearer. Let's go to this cave you speak of.
"I didn't exactly say anything about a cave, but okay. There's a cave a distance away, with crystals that gleam like mirrors." Mirrors! I disliked mirrors, but this was a serious case. Calm down, self. I told myself firmly, following the human as she led me to the cave.

"Here we are." The bearer announced, entering the cave. The damp scent of water greeted my nose, and I smiled, despite the mirror-like crystals. Let's see... caves. Did you leave your heart on a crystal? I asked, finding a gem and floating above it.
"My eyes! ...No, I don't think so." She replied. Oh. The first part is probably because of my fur, I realized a little guiltily. Wait a minute- if she can feel things, maybe she still has her broken heart. I sent a message to the human with confidence:
Here's my deduction- your heart is still inside you, and its been there the whole time. Despite the simple answer, I felt rather proud to have solved the case. Realizing something, I asked another question to the human client. Do you have any more unsolved mysteries?
"I might, I guess." She said, shrugging. I grinned, finding my key and plopping it into her hand.
Well then, lead the way! I encouraged, sparkling fur showing my pleasure.
