Rule for Breeding You cannot request for the shine to be passed down to the foal. The breeding artist may choose to do so if they wish to, but it cannot be requested as it is far too much work and I wouldn't wish that on them XD.

Reasoning: As soon as I saw this stallion I knew I trusted him to be fitting of a Tolkien name, and when I thought of Círdan, it was perfect. I wanted to choose a name that had something to do with grey or silver, because this stallion has such a gorgeous shiny coat, and I'd already had my heart on Círdan when I did recall that he was described as having grey or silver hair. Círdan, meaning "shipwright" in Sindarin, was a Telerin elf from JRR Tolkien's The Silmarillion, he was one of the wisest and the oldest know elves, as well as a bearer of one of the elven rings of power, Narya, for a time. Círdan as well is the elf that welcomes them to the Grey Havens, which has a sentimental significance for me as that's the part I always get choked up during when I watch The Return of the King. His eyes are also described as being "keen as stars" and I think that's perfect considering the hue of this stallion's gorgeous eyes, like galaxies. Even just the sound of the name is beautiful, and it just fits perfectly.

I apologize for rambling on a bit, I managed to cut it down by a signifigant portion. Tolkien just really means a lot to me and is a big part of my childhood, so when I saw this stallion and thought of the name Círdan, I couldn't help but hope.

Reasoning: Greek Mythology is my favorite mythology of them all, and I have kept this name for the very few equids I consider "perfect" for the name. The stallion in question must look proud, noble, strong, and determined. When I think of Heracles, I can't help but think of the Disney movie Hercules, and at the end of the movie, Hercules is sent back to the world of the Gods, and he shines- which I think fits perfectly for a shimmery equid! So, seeing that this equid looks to be proud, noble, strong, and determined, along with being shiny as an added bonus, there is no better equid I could give this name to.

First is that I've always wanted to name some sort of animal that name because it seems like such a cute name and and really compliments the personality that I'm already imagining in my head. Reasoning: He reminded me of the moon but I didn't find any suiting names there. Then I thought of stars and found a little known constellation called Caelum. It fit him perfectly. Caelum is not the brightest or most complicated of constellations-it consists of four stars. Caelum translates to "the sulptor's chisel" which suits the personality I would give him. A leader that "sculpts" his heard into caring and compassionate quids.

Cael is also short for caelestis which means heavenly.
