He is confused about their ability to move without anything to carry them, and wonders why they aren't considered the same as snakes. The stallion is also intrigued by their ability to hunt without legs, and in general is fascinated about their ability to thrive without any visible form of locomotion.

Answer: Castiel is most fascinated by the striped hyena because he admires how cheeky and interesting they are. He thinks that they have funny faces, and although he might wonder why in some sort of child-like innocence, he often finds it to be their best feature. These creatures are nocturnal, and Castiel who has a love for all things galaxy and star-gazing, finds that just amazing to be able to be awake and wandering underneath the vast ink pot of the sky. The way they often feign death when threatened only peaks his curiosity in the ways these animals work. It gets him questioning...Would it be easier if all creatures fake death when stressed? While he himself is a flight creature, these striped hyenas are neither fight nor flight, and Cas wouldn't hesitate in getting near one (it is rare when they attack and kill prey animals; they are scavengers) but this stallion would keep in mind not to get too curious. The species is near threatened and should not have stress brought to them.

Answer: Lykos was born in a time where a pack of wolves were neighboring his birthplace. Growing up, he had been fascinated by them and just took major interest in them. He was told that they were dangerous, but Lykos ignored the warnings. For a fact, he was named after them. He was told to look like one in particular, that would come about and stray close to him every so often. There was just something about them, their howls, their skilled hunting, everything struck Lykos in a way that nothing else had.

With their mesmerizing colors and very specific pattern, Coral Snakes have ensnared Draco's thoughts and dreams. It's no surprise seeing as his name means serpent itself. Recklessly, he tips rocks and peaks into holes searching for his deadly companion. It's hard to believe how keenly aware he is of their poison.
