Username:
Raff and Rhett, though it's Raff applying for this lovely girl. nvn
Name of Dog:
I've decided to call her Riddler. Why? One, because I used to foster a dog, and when she was adopted, her new family renamed her Riddler; and two, I've just always liked that name for canine characters. c:
Gender:
If you haven't guessed by now, I'd love to make Riddler a girl/female.
Personality:
{ trickster - conceited - bold - imprudent - silly - insane }
Trickster; Riddler has been given the affectionate nickname (by those close to her) of Loki, simply because she can fool nearly anyone. She speaks mainly in riddles (as her name suggests), and can easily trick other canines into doing her bidding. However, this trait has led to one of her most fatal flaws...
Conceited; ...Which just so happens to be the next characteristic. Riddler is extremely haughty, and is almost always seen admiring herself in a pond or other reflective surface. She believes she can deceive anyone, and has yet to learn respect. This alone can lead to her demise - especially if she keeps accidentally insulting others as she has been known to do.
Bold; Most likely her most admirable trait. Riddler is very courageous, oftentimes standing up and rebelling when everyone else has their tails tucked between their legs. Sure, it may be borderline stupidity at times, but it has gained her a lot of respect where she comes from. Because of this, she has a lot of other dogs who will back her up, no questions asked.
Imprudent; She's very naive at times, which is oftentimes her downfall. Sometimes it's her just asking a simple question - other times, it's her just being stupid. No matter what the case, she's unwise, and this can lead to some pretty sticky situations that only her closest (and strongest) allies can get her out of.
Silly; No matter what situation she's in, Riddler finds the time to make a joke out of anything. Whether it be just a witty remark or an idiotic pun, this shepherd almost always tries to lighten the mood in the darkest of times. The question to ask is, why is she doing this? Most believe it's just in her name - that she's trying to be as confusing as possible to the enemy, so she can strike back when they least expect it. But few tend to consider another unbelievably-realistic reason - that she's trying to hide her unadulterated fear from the enemy, so she doesn't seem weak.
Insane; There's no denying the fact that this dog is completely bonkers. She's not the funny kind of insane, all talking to trees and answering questions randomly - no, no, her insanity is much darker than it actually appears. Mostly, the only symptom of her insanity is her riddling, which alone is enough to confuse her opponent. Another symptom, much rarer to appear, is answering one question with another that is at a much higher thinking level, that really leaves her enemies stunned. This could lead to her actually being a genius, but, then again, it could just be another psyche ward patient's incessant rambling.
Why you want/like this dog: For so long, I've wanted a truly confusing character; not confusing design-wise, but personality-wise. One that was so beyond what everyone is expecting, that they'd come off as simply insane. However, I've never been able to find the time - or muse - to come up with a character that would fit this quota. I have never, not once, come across a design so simple, so elegant, that it would fit this idea perfectly...
Until now.
When I first saw this dog's design, the personality just hit me as soon as I thought up a name. I realized quickly that this is the character I've been yearning for. This is my little psycho.
Now, I know you probably don't want this dog to have unrealistic characteristics to an actual dog, but I couldn't help myself. I'm a fantasy writer/artist; it's simply what I'm good at. And I think that I - given the opportunity, of course - could make this a believable character, one that you can relate to... In a sense.
I'm not going to lie, or try to use guilt-tripping to get her. I just want a character that I can draw easily, and that fits the personality I have in store. I believe that this is that character, but if you find someone better suited to own this dog, then by all means, choose them. I only want a character that I can make my little psycho, but if you don't want this dog used for such purposes, then I don't want to force you to give me her.
