Kidambura #46 - owned by SnowStar

Postby Exoclipse » Wed Mar 19, 2014 3:07 am

What is a Kidambura?
A Kidambura is a tall wolf-like creature with long ears and lynx tufts at the end. the markings under their eyes are called streaks, and they will always match their eye dot. they also have abnormal large pupils. they have long mussels and a fury mouth to go with, despite that in some cases the Kidambura can have horns, they can come in any shape. with a long neck they have fuzzy manes that can also come in any shape, (or size) and even rarely be made of elements. with long legs, body, and tail it helps the Kida's run faster. one thing you can note is that a kida will always have a animal pattern. their tails have a small tuft at the rump that leads of into a long brisk tail much like a kangaroo that has a tuft of fur at the end.

Username:Why Do I Want Her:What She Reminds Me Of:

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read this [hopefully] long and detailed form. My username is SnowStar, though everyone just calls me Snow. I have been a member of chickensmoothie since the year 2008, and I have been utterly addicted to this species since it started. I hope you enjoy reading and judging this form and I hope you have a wonderful day.
---

Why I want her ...But to answer I would ask another question, who wouldn't want her? She's beautiful, I would be kicking myself forever if I didn't at least try to win this beautiful girl. I have always been a fan of natural colors, and to me her design is just perfect. The combination of colors with her coat pattern just completes everything - I love it. I adore her little bell accessory and antlers, it gives so much personality to her. Her antlers intrigue me with their looks, adding even more to how much I love her and want to try for her. They look like wood to me, and I see little leaves on them. Are they real? Are they little fake antlers that she wears? I do not know, but it adds to her personality and history and works wonderfully with her design.
---

She reminds me of a lot of things, actually, though I think the form can give a hint of what the first thing that popped into my head when I saw her. When I first saw this beautiful design, she reminded me of deer. Her design with the spots reminded me of fawns, baby deer, while her antlers reminded me of adult male deer. Deer are one of my favorite animals, and one that I love seeing where I live. But deer are only one thing she reminds me of, others are a little odd sounding but it's still what clicked in my mind. With her antlers and orange swirls, she also makes me think of a forest spirit, someone who guards and protects the forest and is able to communicate with all creatures of the forest as well. A sentinel, a guardian of sorts you can say. Someone with grace, beauty, and yet someone with ticks and power to protect the creatures of the forest.

Name:Name Origin/Meaning: Why Does She Have A Bell?:

Naming this beautiful girl has been a challenge I admit, I wanted something that not only sounded good but had a nice nickname potential and meaning as well. I had several names I had in mind, but eventually I found a nice name with a good meaning and origin. Her name is Honovi, though is someone insists on giving her a nickname she prefers to be called Vi.
---

To me Honovi has a very interesting name meaning and origin, this name turned out to be a happy accident when finding it. Honovi is simply pronounced as Ho - no -vi. It is a Native-American name, Hopi to be exact. After some searching, her name has two meanings. Strong Deer, and the other meaning to her name is Strong.
---

Ah, the bell. A very small, but very loved accessory of Honovi. You would think that something so small wouldn't mean much, but this little bell is something special to Honovi and always keeps it close. Honovi has carried around this bell since she was a cupp, and it was given to her by her mother. When Honovi was young, she was very quiet and rarely ever spoke even to family. Her family would have to keep a much closer eye on her then a parent would with a cupp, because she would easily slip out of sight without a sound. They always worried that she would get lost somehow if they turned their back because she never spoke and was never considered noisy. So one day, around Christmas time (Honovi can't remember the exact date) her mother was putting up decorations and noticed this little bell at the bottom of the box. Honovi was sitting next to her and immediately loved this simple little bell. She started to play with it and ask her mother what it meant when a bell rung. Her mother watched Honovi happily has she was making such noise with this bell, and actually started to talk willing while playing with it as well. Her mother told her a story about how every time a bell rung a angel got his wings, and suggested how if she wore the bell, she would help all the wingless angels in heaven. It was a cute story at the time from a old movie they used to watch every Christmas. But Honovi seemed to love this story, and without any warning or word she picked up the bell and a piece of string, and tied the little bell around her tail. She walked around for a bit, listening to the bell jingle with every step. With a big grin on her face, she looking to her mother and said "Momma, I'm gonna help all the angels and never take this bell off! And maybe someday if all the angels get their wings, it might help other people too.". Ever since then Honovi has never taken her little bell off of her tail. As she grows older she doesn't believe the story so much, but it reminds her of her family and the good times she has as a child.

Favorite Animal:Favorite Extinct Animal:Gender:

Honovi's most favorite animal in the world is fact, a bird. She notices that most Kidambura will choose a more...fluffier animal as a favorite, but Honovi has a soft spot for birds, and loves them. But if she has to choose for just a single favorite of them all, she would choose the Black Capped Chickadee. She has several bird feeders in the yard where she lives, and always keeps them filled for these birds. Have you ever seen this kind of bird before? They are tiny and adorable, making what Honovi describes as the "cutest tweets on earth". She loves watching them from her front porch, hopping around and eating the seed from her feeders. Sometimes Honovi wishes she was a black capped chickadee, being able to fly with their flock wherever they go.
---

Now for Honovi's favorite extinct animal, it is much larger, and very much different then her favorite animals right now. Her favorite extinct animal is the Irish Elk. The Irish Elk was the largest deer species on earth, at 7 feet tall at the shoulder and antlers weighing around 90 pounds, the antlers being up to 12 feet long from tip to tip. She's seen the skeleton of these elk before in a museum and found them amazing looking, and wonder how big her antlers will get when she's a adult. Honovi wishes the Irish Elk wasn't extinct, just to see what they would really look like up close.
---

After some thought I decided to make Honovi a female Kidambura. I can't imagine her as anything else and I connect with her better as female. She is straight, and doesn't want to be anything else.
Image
Personality:Hobbies:History:

Honovi's likes her own personal space and freedom, and can be quite independent. She doesn't like overly loud noises and she hates crowds, so she tends to be alone most of the time. She doesn't consider herself a loner per say, she enjoys the company of others sometimes as long as they're not too loud sounding. She tends to have a happy go-with-the-flow sort of mood most of the time and she easily gets along with other people. However, her hearing is very sensitive, she can hear things most people won't notice. While others don't care about people yelling, the volume of people yelling makes her ears feel that they're going to explode. Because of her overly sensitive hearing Honovi even controls her own voice from going too loud to prevent from hurting herself. She is always on a "inside voice" level 24-7.

Honovi absolutely loves nature and tried to be around it as much as possible. When alone (which is most of the time) she will take walks and enjoy the flora and fauna in the forest near her home. She is very adventurous and curious about her surroundings and it seems to grow as she gets older. Honovi always carries around a small sketchbook, and is always talking notes and sketching the birds and animals she sees. Although she is only just a teen at the moment, she already has plans for her future. When she becomes a adult, she wants a job that has her very close to nature, like being a park ranger for example. She isn't entirely sure on what she wants to be when she grows up but she feels that she has plenty of time to think about it.
---

Honovi has only one thing that she considers a hobby, and she is very addicted to it. She is a bird watcher, and tries to get every chance she has to watch the local birds. She keeps a list of birds she has seen in her area in her little sketch book, and draws the different species she sees as well. Honovi studies birds whenever she can to identify each species better and even listens to bird chirps and songs whenever she can as well. She is considered strange to some with this hobby but she ignores their comments and does what she loves.
---

In Honovi's view she thinks fairly good past. Perfect? No, nothing is considered perfect in this world, she has had both good memories and bad ones as well. She prefers to dwell on the good things in life and try to not look at the bad moments.

On a sunny spring day two cupps where born, and male and shortly afterwards a female. How they survived not one really knows, both cupps where born small, and much earlier then expected. The male was named Ahote, meaning Restless One in Hopi, and took after mostly his father in looks. The little female was name Honovi, meaning Strong Deer in Hopi, and took after a good mix between both parents. Honovi's mother and father greatly loved the two cupps, and was very protective of them. Her parents had been trying to have a litter for several years before Honovi and her brother was born, but all previous litters ended in premature births with no survivors, or miscarriages. Honovi's parents took great care of them, and made sure they were together and eating well no matter how hard the times where for the family. Both siblings where loved equally and they got along with each other will enough.

Though little siblings squabbles never counted with anything Honovi was very close to her brother while growing up. While she was very quiet in her childhood her brother was very loud and talkative, to the point where sometimes when she wouldn't talk he would talk for her. Honovi's parents found this both adorable, and troublesome at the same time when trying to get Honovi to speak herself. Slowly over time her parents started to seporate the two siblings so that Honovi and Ahote could become more independent in themselves. They were still close with each other but they were not so clingy as they grew older. During this time was when Honovi discovered her love for nature. While her father was away on business her mother would take Honovi and her brother a nature walks and teach them all about anything and everything that was in the forests.

As time went by Honovi grew older, and so did her brother. Her father was less and less seen til one day he never came home, died or abandoned the family no one knew. Her mother tried her best to take care of both cupps, getting them focused on their education in hopes for them of having a good future. Honovi did well and try not to think of her father however her brother didn't fair so well. He, over time, became more and more agitated and aggressive to both Honovi and her mother. He never said it but he was the closest of the two to their father, and wanted nothing more then to see him again. Shortly after he became this way, without saying a word or even give a hint to his family, he ran away, hoping to find his father. Honovi's mother searched for Ahote for over a two years, but never found him. From that point on until just recently Honovi has lived alone with her mother, trying to help her as much as she can. Now that she is a teen she is becoming in independent and more adventurous, and about ready to be completely on her own.

The dark (she won't admit it but she's still afraid of it)
---

A very though question for Honovi, she loves all sorts of colors. But she loves a color that reminds her of her favorite season, Autumn. Autumn is the time of the year where the colors orange, yellow, and red can be seen everywhere in the trees. All these colors are considered a warm happy colors to her, and she loves them. But if she was forced to choose only one of these colors, she would choose the colors of either orange or red. The poor girl has a very hard time of choose a most favorite color but she is tied between these two.
Image
Favorite Food:Crush:Friends:

Honovi loves all sorts of food, and cooking new foods as well. But there is one treat that will stand above the rest. Honovi's most favorite food, though considered strange even in her family is sugar cane. She loves sugarcane, and is addicted to the very sweet taste of it. She often times is seen running to the local sugarcane plantation at least once a week and buying a large stalk from the workers. Sugarcane is not something you simply eat, you have to work at it in order to taste the sweetness. You have to get rid of the outer non-editable layer in order to get to the sweet middle of the sugarcane stalk. Is this both time consuming for someone so small, but considered quite fun for Honovi. Once she reached the center she will chew on the stalk almost like gum, getting every bit of the sweetness out of it.
---

Well aren't you out to make Honovi uncomfortable today? With this question at least, she gets quite embarrassed whenever asked anything crush wise. But to answer the question, yes, she in fact does have a small crush on someone, although it would never last. But who is it? Well she doesn't really want to tell who it is, she hasn't even had the courage to talk to him yet. He is a teen, just like her, and she finds him fluffy and very adorable. She loves his little scarf and the fact that he has horns too!
---

Other then her mother who she has always been close to, Honovi does in fact have one friend. Her friend is much older then she is, and is currently teaching her about wild editable herbs and very old recipes using them. They are much alike with loving nature and they seem to get along great. Her friend is Cheyenne.
Image
Family:Favorite Place To Be:When She's Older:

Honovi hasn't had much news on her family since she went on her own recently, but so far here is what she knows about them. Honovi's Father is still missing. He went missing when she was a cupp. The status of Honovi's brother, Ahote, is still unknown. He ran away when she was almost a teen to try to find her father. Her mother is alive doing well but still silently searching for Honovi's brother with no luck. However her mother moved recently and Honovi no longer knows where she lives.
---

When Honovi becomes a adult she will start to be more mature and focused on her carrier and a family of her own. She will eventually becomes less naive, and more cautious and observant to people she doesn't know. Her hearing will becomes less sensitive to sounds over time so hopefully she will gain a stronger voice and become more tolerant to other noises as well. Though only time may tell she will finally find some closer with what happened to her father and find the whereabouts of her brother, if he survived running away. She will take all her lessons from her mother and friend to heart and teach both them and family tradition to the children she has, if she ever has any. She wants cupps of her own, that is for sure. She will be thankful for everyday that she wakes up to and remember the words her parents said as a cupp. "No matter how hard times maybe, family will always be important and special at heart".

So full of hate were our eyes
That none of us could see
Our war would yield countless dead
But never victory
So let us cast arms aside
And like discard our wrath
Thou, in faith, will keep us safe
Whilst we find the path

Someone reminding her of her brother or father (this makes her sad more then anything else)
The dark (she won't admit it but she's still afraid of it)

A very though question for Honovi, she loves all sorts of colors. But she loves a color that reminds her of her favorite season, Autumn. Autumn is the time of the year where the colors orange, yellow, and red can be seen everywhere in the trees. All these colors are considered a warm happy colors to her, and she loves them. But if she was forced to choose only one of these colors, she would choose the colors of either orange or red. The poor girl has a very hard time of choose a most favorite color but she is tied between these two.

Congratulations on winning Honovi!

So full of hate were our eyes
That none of us could see
Our war would yield countless dead
But never victory
So let us cast arms aside
And like discard our wrath
Thou, in faith, will keep us safe
Whilst we find the path
