I've been working on a theme equid series of originals based off of acorns, so here is the very first that I'm sharing! Because these will be themed equids, they will not be able to breed with others of their theme - so no acorn equid x acorn equid breedings!

This lady is loosely based off of the acorns created by the Pin Oak tree, also known as the Swamp Spanish Oak.

How is her name based off of trees/plants/forests?: The name Vidara come from the Old Norse name "Vidar" meaning "Forest Warrior". Since it was a masculine name however, I added an "a" to to the end to feminize it.

How is her name based off of trees/plants/forests?: Moth's are beautiful creatures who can live anywhere. But their dull colored outer wings help them blend into the forest. They can morph into a tree or leaf in just seconds in they can hold still enough. Their delicate wings blend into giant oaks and silver birches. Making it hard for predators to catch and devour them. That is why I chose the name Moth. Without them, we would only have those butterflies. But nature loves Moths because she gave them the power to disappear.

How is her name based off of trees/plants/forests?: about 45 minutes away from where I live in Berlin, there is a forest called Grunewald. It is wonderful there - a huge lake is near there, where I learned sailing in, and which has small rivers which are wonderful to watch in the summer, with the sun casting through the trees. Once it is warm, I love to go to the Grunewald to look for berries. In Autumn, though, the best way to use the time on weekends is to go there with the train and looks for acorns and chestnuts. That is why the name Grune has to do something with forests - it is part of the name if one.
