A Sharkpony (scientifically known as 'Sexy Sexy Gherkin') is a horse/shark hybrid; hence the name 'Sharkpony'. Because of their cross-bred heritage, Sharkponies are extremely individual and unique, both physically and mentally. Sharkponies have a natural adoration of gherkins and toothbrushes. Their size ranges from that of a sheep to that of a large horse; although most are the size of an average donkey. Sharkponies are native to Pluto, speak fluent Plutonian and are allergic to hot potato salad. Can you win a Sharkpony's heart, bum and toothbrush?

What do the tail charms mean?: The tooth is a sort of totem. It comes from an ancient ancestor, passed down the family line. No one knows why they keep passing it down, it is just a sort of ritual persisted by instinct. As there is only one tooth, Machi got it because of her eyes- she is the first in quite a few generations to be born with blue eyes. As there are only beautiful green waters on Pluto, blue is a color rarely seen in nature, and held highly.
The feather is that of a rare Fish found gliding among the underground passages only at dawn. The Fish are ferocious, eating any gherkin the come upon and molesting toothbrushes with tomatoes. Machi's father is a famous sharkpony for organizing peace between a tribe of Fish, and as a token as respect the tribe leader gave him one of its feathers. Her father gave it to her before he left, so any Fish she came upon would let her be as an ally.
Story: Machi was born into a dwindling line of leopard sharkponies, and was immediately praised as special because of her rare eyes. As she grew, Machi became resentful of her eye color, that everyone she met would stare. She attempted to make colored lenses that changed them to a brown hue, and that worked for a while. Eventually she get tired of dragging it around with her, and ate a chalupa. It was a sight to behold. Machi's father flew off to explore Neptune, and left her and her mother with memories and a Fish feather. They weren't very pleased with this, so Machi's mother buried herself in her work as her daughter grew to a restless post-teen stage. She spends her time daydreaming, eating, drawing, and playing frapop, a game involving nail clippers, shoe laces, and a spring.

My charms are totally in fashion.
Since Marina is a total trend-setter, she decided to make a statement with her charms. The fang is because she says it is 'metal' and represents the hurt she went through in her childhood - in other words, her mother wouldn't make her a sandwich. The feather? The Kiamara trend got big even on Pluto, and she decided she had to have one - despite being a non-owner. Her leopard print fur is also another representation of her trend-setting, yet currently it.. well... it hasn't caught on.
