Griffin name: Loren
Griffin Gender: Female
Story: (optional) Once beneath a tree, there lived a flower. This flower longed to pick her roots out of the ground and see the world, but the tree told her she couldn't because she was a small pink flower and not an owl griffin so she must stay where she was. and so she did. One year, when the cold wind was starting to whip and the flower and the tree where getting ready for their long winter rest, the flower saw a flock of birds flying south for winter. She remembered her sprout hood dream of being an owl griffin and so that night she wished that night on the brightest star she could see, to be bird. That next morning, she was awoken by a strange shuffling sound. "Ella, whats that?" (Ella was a smaller flower that was sprouted last year, also under the tree.) "It's- it's a squirrel." the small flower replied trembling. The flower turned around and saw a small squirrel scrambling down the tree. Both flowers froze in fear. This was a type of squirrel that ate flowers. It started to reach for Ella, to pull her out of the ground and eat her. The flower suddenly, with all the strength in her wiry stem, thrust herself between the squirrel and Ella. the squirrel instead of Ella pulled the flower out of the ground and took off up the tree. Somewhere along the way it dropped the flower and she fell the base of the tree. Ella cried and grieved for her friend who had given her life to safe her and now lay to far for her to reach. Amazingly, that morning, the Aurora Borealis was visible. It seemed to shimmer down to the ground and touch the fallen flower. When it lifted to it's proper place in the sky, in the place of the flower was a graceful owl griffin, which promptly took off and flew into the rising sun.
