Scarlet grew up in a large herd that was the biggest herd in the area. It was only by luck that her family even got accepted into the herd since her father was very weak and so was her mother. The herd members didn't treat her parents with very much respect and they often threw insults at them, made fun of them and even beat them a few times. However Scarlet remained untouched. Why? Because the Lead Stallion was in love with her. Even though he didn't tell anyone the herd could see it in his eyes and left her alone. She defended her parents everytime they were picked on and it stopped for a few days but then started up again. Eventually she had grown tired of it and went straight to the Lead Stallion and told him what was going on. He instantly agreed to help her and he talked to the herd and made sure his point got through to them. As the years passed the cruel treatment towards her parents stopped and they actually grew stronger and more healthier. Scarlet ended up becoming mates with the Lead Stallion making her Lead Mare of the herd.
