|What are Kiivis?|
~Appearance~
Kiivis are small, nocturnal mammals. Females stand one and a half feet tall to the top of the head, while males are two feet tall. They have long, prehensile tails that are two feet long on average, used to keep them from falling out of trees. Kiivis are also equipped with two inch long claws that are both broad and sharp, used for digging and climbing trees. One to three retractable claws rest in the hind legs, used for last second grip if one is falling or as a secret weapon in a fight. Their tongues are about five inches long with small, sticky frill along the bottom four inches and a tiny nub at the end. They have four toes on both the front feet and hind feet, all armed with semi-retractable claws. Kiivis most often come in natural colors, but rarely they can be seen with twists of bright hues, or the whole animal could be a light shade of pastel. Although, pastel colored Kiivis are considered outcasts, as they draw attention to prey. No matter what, they always have four stripes in their tail, as this is burned into their genetics. The small animals live in groups called tribes, which contain three to twenty Kiivis. Being very social, they often travel in huge groups for safety and companionship. Kiivis can become mutated and have a second tail or a bob tail, although these are both very rare. Kiivis with bobs are generally said to not survive well, since tails are used for balance, while double tails live longer than average.
