CheshireStory
I was just a normal person, wanting to get away from the world, trying to get away from.... everything. I wanted to be left alone from all of the mean people, all of the rumours, get away from everything. But when I tried.... It.... it just followed me. I have markings all over my body from every punch, every kick, every... insult. I only had one place to run. My happy place. In the woods, deep down the trail, where no one would find me. They followed me everywhere, all of the mean kids. But not here, they weren't smart enough. I climbed as High as I could up upon my favorite tree, and just sat. I sat there, and I leaned against the tree. I sometimes brought books to read, but I usually just sat there as time passed by, leaning against the tree, watching every little leaf fall as the weather got colder, but my jacket kept me warm. I'd just lean against the tree, while sitting on the biggest branch, staring towards the world, my life, everything I had and didn't have. I just looked ahead of me, looked at the trees, and the leaves falling, and occasionally a squirrel or rabbit hopping down the path. I thought of the future when I looked forward, in my favorite direction to watch the leaves. It was colorful and bright, most of the trees still had leaves. I just sat there, thinking if I would still be miserable and if kids would treat me like this in the future. I was thinking if my grades would still stay good, and what job and college i'd go to. If i'd get a husband, and 'd dream up my dream husband. But on bad days, if I was really sad, i'd think about my past. I'd be looking toward where my neighborhood is, where all of the threats were. Thinking about how i'm still holding onto what I have, even after my miserable life so far. I love watching the animals, and comparing their life to mine. They are carefree, and they can't really talk to each other and call each other mean things, but thats all I know. Sometimes, some specific animals come under the tree i'm sitting in, paw at it and look at me. It was usually the same, a white rabbit. I've never seen one before, but I knew he was the only white rabbit here, and it was the same every once in a while. Once, it had hopped half way up to me. I hopped down, and it slowly started hopping. I decided to follow it, to see where it went. It hopped down a big hole, it could probably fit about three foxes in the entrance of they tried. I put my head in, really curious. But then I had my necklace fall off. One of the most important things i've ever had, was a chain necklace, with ah eart on the end. One side had a picture of me as a baby, the other side showed my grandma holding me. She was really young, but now she's passed away, and i've been holding onto this for 3 years. I've worn it every day, but safely tuck it down my shirt to keep it away from the hurtful words. But now it was gone, and I couldn't reach down far enough to feel it. It was the most important thing I own, since the rest have been destroyed from the mean kids in school, and especially when they come to my house. I crawled into the hole a bit, trying to reach it. But I fell in. All I saw was darkness, and the drop felt like forever. But I had eventually bounced up on a soft bed, which had made my landing much easier. Then, I realized that there was millions of mattresses piled under it, and I could see a huge world. It was nothing like where I lived, a new place. I had tipped the mattresses, and let them fall. I climbed onto one to break my fall. I had landed in a huge jungle. There, I saw the rabbit, the white rabbit. he had my necklace wrapped around his neck. I slowly put my hand out, but he sniffed it, then hopped away. I started trotting after him, but he started sprinting, the necklace making a tingle- tingle sound as it hit the chain. I stopped, and climbed up a tree that looked very similar to my tree, but it had a very long branch that stretched across the path I ran after the rabbit. I sat on it, and leaned against the tree, letting one foot hang off. then, something black started forming in front of my feet. It was barely visible, and i thought it was something with my eyes. I rubbed them, and looked. It was still there. I watched as a creature formed in front of me. It was a little black furball, with a large, wicked smile, and a long tail that waved around. I looked at the creature for a moment, and it looked at me. I just sat there, staring at it. What are you? I thought. But the real question was where was that rabbit.
